I said it was a bad signing when the Sox got him. No way I would ever give a player with his lack of defensive skills and propensity to strike out, that kind of money. Seems like a nice guy and he's hit a hellova lot of homers. But in the end, he's an incomplete player. Always has been.

I will be surprised if they don't move either Dunn or Griffey before the trade deadline. I hope it winds up being Dunn, to an A.L. team to DH. That guy just kills the Cubs and would be nice to not see regularly.

RV-I like the Peavy thought, but Dunn is a disaster in the outfield and Crisp has no power to speak of and a true puss-arm. He's too much like Lance Johnson/Juan Pierre in that reguard. If we had a DH in the NL, I would love to see Dunn play at the Shrine though. Sheffield ave. would see a lot more baseballs.

Yeah, you did always hate Adam Dunn!

He came in out of shape 4 years ago, then had his appendix removed and sucked. He got into better shape in year 2 and had a decent year, including an all star appearance. He really regressed as that season went though, which again calls into question his conditioning. This last year, you could see he didn't put the time into conditioning in the off season. I guess he was statistically decent this year, but you can't fool me on that.

The guy always did his best work when the games didn't matter. Goodbye. Never come back

The Sox traded for a Hog (Sanburn) and called up a Hog (Wilkens). Welcome aboard the bandwagon, Hawger.

15 HR and 50 RBI with ~25 games left to go is not decent when his 162 game average is 38 and 95. Those numbers were even higher before he joined the White Sox.

Its the worst FA signing the Sox have ever made, and it is at the very least in the team photo for the worst FA signing in Chicago sports history.

Milton Bradley likes this.

That was epically bad as well, but at least Bradley was gone quick. 500+ games of Adam Dunn in a Sox uniform, and 450 of them were fucking terrible on his part. I think I hate Dunn even more than Mully does.
