For whom does the trolling bell toll with this one???

Of course this season the NFC South will likely be the best division in the NFL. (The NFL West will be nice, but the Niners have issues, the Cardinals have to actually do something when the pressure is on and the Rams have no real proven offense.)

Panthers have too many issues. It's a 2 team race. The Saints will be good and the Buccaneers defense will be great. They have some talent on offense but it all comes down to McCown. Can he duplicate his success from last year? If not the Saints will runaway with the division.

New England may go the entire game against the Bears without punting. Come to think of it, Green Bay might, too.

I don't see why a QB like Brady in today's league (and rules) couldn't be effective into his mid 40's if he wanted to. He will definitely have enough in the tank in week 2 to get a few by the great Chris Conte.

Their team doesn't really scare me. I penciled in an L because it's a road game.

Things change. Denver is putting great talent around Manning and the Patriots are still asking Brady to win it by himself. He used to at least have a great defense.

James Starks is more explosive and Lacy is more of a Bettis type back.

I think they have the best offense in football. The defense needs to just be below avg and they'll be fine.

Only slightly more effort.

It doesnt take a lot of effort to be excited about this team. I look forward to everyone else catching on after week 5 or so. Then Nas or I can bump this thread and have a good chuckle at all the doom and gloom.

They have some real nice pieces on defense now. Pats suffered just as many crippling injuries on both side of the ball and Brady dragged them into the playoffs.

Didn't they get rid of Wilfork or he hurt a knee? Chandler Jones and Mayo are the only ones that come to mind. They just weakened the offense again too.

The 2nd half of the Bears schedule is tougher IMO.

Wilfork is back but after an achilles tear I don't think he'll provide much. The Revis/Browner combo is nice addition after years of awful CB play.

On paper that looks really good. I don't doubt Browner can be effective after missing most if not all of last season because of a suspension. Revis is still good but he's far from great now.

Shane Vareen will outperform Forte. NE is back if Gronk stays healthy.

Wow. In the head to head game or the regular season? I dont think he will in either but just want to see where you are going with this.

NE will benefit from being in a shitty division, in a shitty conference. They could make the Super Bowl but the SB winner is coming out of the NFC in this reporters opinion...

I think this guy will do big things this year. Maybe outperforming Forte is a little exaggerated but he's already shown he can gash defenses in the passing game when he was healthy last year.

88 carries for 408 yards and two touchdowns and 94 catches for 854 yards and six touchdowns are his stats last year when projected over 16 games (he played eight). 289 carries for 1339 rushing yards and nine TDs, plus 74 catches for 594 yards and three TDs were Forte's stats for last year.

That's roughly a 600 yard difference in Forte's favor in terms of yards from scrimmage, and I think that gap will be closed considerably this year given Vareen's expanded role (Ridley still in the doghouse), the fact that he plays for the Pats, he's playing for a contract, and that we are likely heading into Forte's twilight years. I don't think he's the next McCoy or anything like that, but I find it reasonable that he can provide similar production to Forte, and maybe even has a higher production ceiling due to his team's system.

Forte should age well considering how he has avoided punishment despite his high usage rate. He should have at least 1 to 2 more good to great seasons left.

I am rescinding my original post.

1-7. However, 0-8 is still possible.

Signing Jay Cutler was the worst signing in the last 10 years. He is a Caller Bob and I hope he's traded before his contract is over, or he is injured and can't play anymore.

He is a bottom-feeder QB.

What did fuck-face Jay say at his presser after the game? I'm sure it was twitchy and enlightening.

Jay will be on ESPN Radio 1000 AM from John Barleycorn downtown starting at 2P with "Waddle & Silvy". Is it just me or does Jay only like those 2?

He said the loss was solely on him, and he let himself, his teammates, and the city of Chicago down today and he's going to work harder than ever to not let this type of performance happen again.

Prolly because they just softball questions to him and gargle his balls.

I want someone with balls to ask Jay point blank, "Why do you throw off your backfoot when you know it leads to interceptions?". Also, "Why do you make such poor progressions on your reads?"

I'm sure he did. That fucking cocksucker doesn't give a shit about improving.

Can we clone Rodgers yet? They've already cloned a sheep, now get on it scientists!!
