Castro is done. Rizzo is probably done.

Another brilliant move by Theo to make sure they don't win too many games.

Also, Sweeney is done for the season. Olt to play for Kane County then be activated for the Cubs.

Damn, that sucks. Looks like Theo really wants to stick around the top-10 to not lose a pick.

Must have some big free agent plans.

Wish they would just rule Rizzo out already. We fantasy owners need to know!

He's done. Look for Olt to play 1B when he gets recalled.

I have no problems with either one not playing again this year ... Castro mostly because I think he's dogshit and would much rather see what else we've been got goin' on at SS in the hopes, however small they may or may not be, that there's something better.

.290 average with 14 HR's and he has looked sharper at SS. His mental errors seem to dog him though.

I don't want to hate, but I find it hard to justify not being disgusted with him to this point.

Any smaller a sample size and it doesn't exist, but Baez looking good so far tonight. :D

Castro should have been a superstar by now given his playing time. Three time all star my ass. Best of a bad sample size for a team that had to have an all star player on the roster. I would trade him in a minute for the right haul. Bet they do. I really think he is bait as far as they are concerned.

My wife says that Castro looks like Bruno Mars.

I guess that is better than looking like Mick Mars or a melted Mars bar. Or BF wanting to send you to Mars. 8)

Id almost guarantee he will be dealt. Guess it depends on Addison Russell or Russell Addison or Addison Sheffield's or whatever the hell his name is development.

Baez looks smooth SS. His arm is much better.

He's a good player.

He is also a player that everyone thinks should be better and so, never receives proper credit.

They do when every club needs a representative, even the ones that are losing 100+ games a year. Mark Redman was an all-star with Kansas City once.

What does that even mean? He's been a real good player.

2 of the 3 times he was not the only Cub. He deserved it all three times.

That's reasonable. Id trade anyone for the right haul

Granted there's a significant age difference, but Castro's numbers are quite similar to Alexei Ramirez's.

Here are Castro's numbers at the break during his all star seasons

2011: .307BA 2 HR 39 RBI 10SB

2012: .291BA 7 HR 43RBI 16SB

2014 .276 11 HR 52 RBI 3 SB

All pretty solid and the only time he was the lone rep was 2011

Castro is definitely, by the numbers, an All-Star. To suggest otherwise is either due to bias or not paying attention.

I still don't have any affinity for him, and hope they can discard him in favor of some valuable return. I don't want him launched just to launch him though.

He's not a bad guy. He's a fucking dope. I think it's possible that the Cubs don't have to 'settle' for a fucking dope. I've seen a SS who wasn't a fucking dope dick-up a play in a game that really mattered once in my lifetime ... once is plenty for me, thanks.

On the other hand, Castro would be daydreaming about Soup during that inning instead of tightening up and he probably makes the play.
