Stat of the Day: While others get more hype, Arismendy Alcantara is a key cog in the @Cubs' future. He's saved 8 runs between 2B and CF.

The worse he is at hitting, the better he will be at hitting. I guess I just don't know baseball or logic at all.

Time will tell, but I have a hard time believing Alcantara will actually have a HR/FB better than Miguel Cabrera.

I think stat guys get themselves into trouble when they draw conclusions from the numbers they produced. Darwin Barney was an excellent defender.
