I don't think you want a dope manning the most important position on the field. at 3B he would be OK, though.

He would not be an All Star at 3B

Somehow I don't think Theo is going to step up the efforts to trade him just because he doesn't sprint out of the box on a fly ball once per season.

I don't know that I believe that Castro is dumb. But I think he has a real problem with losing focus. He's like a kid with ADD and can't maintain (can't/won't) the focus a professional should have. Addison Russell should be the SS in a year and if Bryant remains at 3rd, there really wouldn't be a spot for Castro, so trading him for pitching would make sense. But first, they need to make sure that Russell is going to make it and that Baez is who they want at 2nd and that Bryant is staying at 3rd. No rush to make a decision.
