And what the hell is Dan talking about Boomer Esiason "really embracing being a talk show host"? His talk show is just Craig Carton ranting 500 words a minute while Boomer chuckles knowingly.

Yeah I do. Danny pumps him up. I get that he produces a way different show, but he can't hang with the real producers.

I hate to keep coming back to Johnny's Show but Hector is a great producer and has the smarmy attitude but stays quiet until called upon. He has talent. As everyone says yeah the ratings aren't there but no one knows Johnny is on air really. They won't advertise him until they get a better frequency.

It was? Just seemed like it was all high horsing. Matty was happy though.

Far from it. They let it go off the rails and kept throwing it farther. That's when they are best. "Not give a shit" radio.

West Side Mike just got blowed up again

I guess that was cute. The one thing I agree with is that if it is 100% Bernie's bit just kill the thing.

Rudy emailed to say he was laughing out loud while walking his dog. Congratulations. You=Rudy.

Matty and Terry were trying to tell Danny that he, and his "friends", were taking the fun out of WYC. Danny kept trying to say that is was still funny. They wouldn't have anything to do with that.

The last two legit callers of WYC = awful bad
The unfiltered callers = hilarious
Dan's "friends" Rudy and Bill oCH = written in Bernstein style.
Everyone but Dan hating the segment = great

Go unfiltered for a few weeks. If it's going to suck. Go completely b movie bad. Let the LCD shine and get blown to bits. The fun spontaneity is the hook of the show. Hell if you have a wyc archive. Break out one old time crap during the segment. Do one from 2002 crapping Dick Jauron with no announcement to throw people off.

I don't know about when he chimes in with thoughts, but I do appreciate that his sound work. (https://soundcloud.com/christannehill)

I guess I appreciate any production work put into that show. Not sure what Matty does, there. Like the suggestions for WYC in this thread...do you really think he'll bother? He can't even get Bernstein to keep the e-craps under 2 minutes.

If you didnt enjoy WYC this week then there is a good chance you never liked B&B in the first place. This was vintage. They just threw their hands in the air and decided to be weird and goofy for an hour. I was laughing out loud. When they first shotgunned West Side Mike and Dan's reaction was priceless. It was like he really got shot.

Yes, and yes.

Yup.

That is why you listen to this show. If you didn't like that then stop listening.

I don't listen as much but I've never got this vibe from him. Certainly not like I did from Goff.

It was funny, but it was basically "Score, hello", which I always find amusing. Just replace WYC with "Score, hello" every Thursday. The funniest part of that segment was Drinky and Terry telling Danny that WYC sucks now and isn't funny at all.

Yes I did like the revolt of those two. Drinky is so sick of it. He made Dan do it all the way through because of sponsors but I am sure he is tired of getting yelled at about not screening to dans specific standards.

I'm not sure I would enjoy hearing this. Even if true (and since I haven't listened to WYC in a long while, I'll trust from the board that it is) it would only be a fun thing to discuss on the air if it actually led to a change. Instead it is probably just awkward when they're going against FOTS and knowing it'll get nowhere. Or maybe just thinking of any Drinky-Dan argument makes me uncomfortable because Dan is annoying and Drinky is usually on the dumb side of the 'issue' and just antagonizing Dan.

Well the problem is that people try to send in craps that will make Dan happy. Just crap people for the stupid shit they say. I do agree with Dan that you cant crap someone for flubing the name of a team. It's about hypocrisy.

It was awesome Reared. They were shotgunning unscreened callers within seconds. Everyone was laughing and being goofy. Best radio they have done in months.

I agree a flubbed name is stupid to do. It was best when Gary had that gestated crap.

OK, :D , it was pretty entertaining stuff. Mostly because Dan played along more than I had thought he would.

But I have a nit to pick. After guffawing over people crapping over misspeaking, the example that Bernstein read was about Wanny saying 'Super Bowl' when talking about the NCAA. Isn't that just a mistake as well?
