And a line. And an offensive coach. And a system.

I don't have anything to say in this. Cutler deserves every bit of criticism he gets from todays game. One stupid throw after another. He probably should have had 2 or 3 more picks.

Yep. He's the most talented loser QB in Bear history.

Hell, I doubt he's gotten past his fantasies of a threesome with Weber and Zook.

Cutler is the Jeff Samardzija of quarterbacks. He has all the tools, he's just no good at playing the position.

I was going to post the same thing. But I didn't want to step on your bit and take the pleasure away from you.

I agree, completely, btw.

I have said it on the radio and here as well....Cutler is not a franchise QB. He can get a team wins against bad defenses, but will make too many crucial mistakes to ever give his team the chance to get through a playoff run. The Bears made a big mistake giving him that contract.

At least you didn't have to disparage a whole race of folks for the chance to win a piece of meat.

Today was a microcosm of his career: some real nice plays, 2 TDs, 2 INT, a sub-90 rating, and a loss. Actually, I guess it wasn't a perfect microcosm because he didn't get hurt. He is a loser.

I thought Trestman was supposed to work on Jay's footwork and delivery, but it's the same off balanced/back foot throws we've seen every year. QB whisperer my ass!

Compare it to 'range' players in golf. I played with guys who could stripe it on the range. They were single digit handicappers. But when we got on the course and were playing for a little coin, their taters puckered up and they played just good enough to lose. Jay is no different.

That list says that Brady and Stafford make $2 million. That's not even close to reality, even in Scorehead's world.

Honestly though, I don't enjoy watching Jay Cutler whether he succeeds or fails. If he succeeds, you know it is short lived or fools gold. If he fails, well, the Bears are in trouble. It's even worse now that he is paid like an elite QB. Before, I could at least acknowledge the fact that he was being paid below the elite QBs in the league so we shouldn't expect him to be elite. Then again, that is a failing of talent evaluation by Emery and Trestman. I can't blame Cutler for taking the money but he also hurts the team more than ever now.

It's just disappointing that the Cutler era is looking like a completely lost era of Bears football.

The thing about Cutler is all his numbers are going to look right. You will be able to take them and argue that he is an elite quarterback. But if you're actually watching his teams and paying attention, you know he's a fucking loser. Still, the door will always be open for apologists to spout his quarterback rating and blame everyone and everything else for the losses.

The strange thing is that when his numbers point to average they say things like "athletic", "big arm", and cherry pick qb ratings by a specific quarter.

You are right though. Statistically, that was a pretty good game for him at least in terms of yards and yards is normally something he doesn't compare well with other qbs.

I have to disagree there. His numbers cant really be used for elite or anything close. He's consistently just 12th-15th in QB rating

That's because yards don't matter. Yards per attempt matters.

Cutler is 3-7 in his career with the Bears when throwing for over 300 yards.

Either way, he sucks.
