I'm asking just to see how White Sox fans would feel if Hawk were to call it a career.

I would rather have Hawk and his silliness even part time. I do not need an antiseptic "professional broadcaster" to tell me what I see on TV. Entertain me. Hawk does that. And when he is pissed about play likely I am too.

No. He's a terrible listen these days, when he does actually open his mouth.

Bring in anyone competent, and allow Stone to not have to broadcast on eggshells.

If Ken Harrelson cuts back on his broadcasts, Tom Paciorek may have said all the right things about Steve Stone as a play-by-play voice, but consider this. Paciorek isn't much younger than Harrelson. Tom is 67 compared to 72 for Ken.

If he retires after this season, the White Sox should bring in Anthony John Pierzynski to call games with Stone on the road, especially outside the A.L. Central. He's been part of "MLB on FOX's" last 3 League Championship Series & World Series pre & postgame shows, and I think he'd fit right in.

Yes.

Though, a limited schedule may do him well.

I want him to retire still in his prime.

Hawk is going to work another decade? By the end of that, he'll probably be past his prime.

No. I'd watch more Sox games if he weren't there.

I enjoy how bad he is. When Sox are losing he is great...when they are winning, he is an ass.

I will always remember him for the interference call during one of the Cubs - Sox games several years ago. He was so bad, so wrong, and so unprofessional on that one play, that for me, it defined him as a "broadcaster". Bad! He openly accused the umpires of "making things up". The ironic thing on that day / that play is that the Cubs were broadcasting as well....and they covered the play clean & professionally.

Anyway...he gives me a reason to tune in.

You want Steve Stone and A.J. Pierzynski to call a game together? That's an interesting concept of hell that you have. Why do the White Sox have to be allergic to hiring non-athlete broadcasters?

I've wanted Hawk gone since the early 2000s. Can't stand him.

Let Stone go, too, and bring in A.J. and Ozzie as the new broadcast team.

Why would he be replaced by someone antiseptic? WHy can't he be replaced by someone who just isn't a total a-hole?
Hawk is just a total ass at all times. I guess some people like that. I find it offputting.
Hawk makes me dislike the Sox. I love to see that twatmiffin in pain.

A homer-rific Ozzie would be fantastic in a White Sox booth and I would be totally on board with this happening. AJ can eat a bag of dicks though.

Hawks stories and his style of discussing the game as he calls it is better than most announcers who are afraid to say anything more than reciting the count.

Its tv. I know the count.

Now more than ever a PbP buy has to be interesting

Quite naturally I want Hawk back.

The last thing I need is yet another cookie cutter, idiot numbers savant, pseudo-cool guy like "The Len Kasper" doing another broadcast. If clowns like that are fine by you, good. Frankly I don't have much for the overwhelming majority of younger team broadcasters. Here, I don't listen to Cub games because of his incessant good timey/club approved drivel.

Has the lap dog begged for/forecast another bushel of home runs for the N. Side Lumber Co. again yet today?

Yeah but some of his stories are just bullshit. He makes stuff up. He discusses the game with bullshit best he ever saws and lies about games he played in.
That's interesting I guess. Almost as much fun as berating umpires and have g a personal agenda against a specific ump or two which is way to childish for a man of his age.
Sad that he can't show some sportsman like qualities for the young fans

I also don't get hung up or offended on things he says like the Boers/Bernstein does. He doesn't like advanced stats, no problem. His partner doesn't either, and that's not a problem for that show.
