A caller who subsequently became banned for asking too intelligent a question for B&B. After Dan called Trestman a genius, the caller asked whether the guys expected the league to catch up to Trestman this year, the result of having a season of tape to look at, or whether Trestman is capable of staying ahead of the league as far as play calling. Dan avoided answering the question by saying "That's his job." Boers, on the other hand, was skeptical saying that he expected a few new wrinkles in the offense but nothing more, at which point Dan interjected to say they have real players, but continued to stay away from answering the question about Trestman specifically. Just when the conversation was headed down a slippery slope, Batacola stepped in to save them by announcing that the caller was banned. Terry yelped "Why?" in response only for Batacola to tell them that the caller was really smart and consequently, won't be on the show again.

Couldn't have thicker irony that B&B beat up on their callers all day long for being dumb, but when a smart one calls with an intelligent question he gets banned. That's pretty much emblematic of the degenerative state of the show.

I miss the good old days on B &B when an intelligent caller got through. They usually got the typical B & B response of a few awkward seconds of silence and then Bernstein would smugly laugh and ask Drinky, "That's it?!? He waited 54 minutes just to say that?!?" Then they would say something else crass and degrading before hanging up laughing. At least they are trying to answer nowadays...

Trestman IS a genius. Name another NFL coach who could figure out to have his QB throw the ball up to his two 6'4" WRs.

I'm telling you, the guy is operating on a different level than the rest of us rubes.
