And no Bear fans cares about that. We care about how he plays. And he sucks. People didn't embrace McCown because he's a nice guy. They embraced him because he played a run of games that was better than anything Cutler has ever done or ever will do in his career.

it's very strange that Bernstein has long been a proponent of 'it doesn't matter, why do you care' when it comes to Cutler's attitude, up until the point where it disappointed his bosses. I suppose there's a point to be extrapolated where if he can't change that, he also probably can't change his quarterbacking, but Bernstein isn't that good of a columnist I guess.

He did actually say something similar to that. It was something about how he isn't going to change and how you'll get those amazing throws and then terrible throws. Really, it seems like even they have given up on him being anything more than he is. That's kind of a problem when you are one game into one of the richest contracts in NFL history.
