Subway is like Mcdonalds in terms of the fact I never go out to get a Subway or a McDonalds, but will eat them if hungry and its right there. Will eat a Subway over a McD's, Arbys, Wendys or BK, if all are the choice at the time.
Don't settle biggie! Quality meals are only a short car ride away in any direction!

It's a cheap sandwich, and the bread will fill you up. You can load up on hot peppers, black olives, and oil and vinegar, to make the sandwich edible.

Yeah, and im not big on the condiments so its worse for me

If their portions werent so small they'd be decent. Ive never gone double meat but I imagine it just looks like a normal sandwich from anywhere else

This is the point. No car ride needed. can have tacos, salad, BBQ, burgers, pizza, bad seafood, sushi, chinese, wings, bagels, middle eastern, thai, african (never been) and more all within 2-3 blocks.

Happy with the options.

So why eat Subway then? I drive right past it in my suburban utopia!

Because it was there, I was parked, hungry and had 15 mins before next appt. Could have tried Rockys Tacos.

How the hell is that depressing? Sometimes you're so crunched for time, you have to go to the closest place. I do this all the time during tax season.

bigfan is defending Subway though. The reason he eats Subway is "because it is there".

I just feel bad about it and feel lucky I live where I live.

Not having all the options of you lovely Chicago folk, when I don't feel like cooking and my choices for something quick are Subway, McDonalds or Taco John's...well, it's not really that hard.

We know Bigfan eats at Subway and Sweet Baby Ray's. It's like he is already living in the suburbs.

Pretty sure none of those places deliver, so lipid really doesn't have a choice.

Pretty sure we still have the seafood thing at our local Subway stores.

Based on the fine quality of their meat, I'm sure the seafood at Subway is also top notch.

I will not have you speak ill of mustard, pale face Greg.

Me come in peace. Mustard, along with all white condiments, is simply disgusting.

First mustard, now mayo and horseradish? Good day, sir.

I should just abstain altogether. Not really a condiment guy. I eat ketchup and that's about it.

First they came for the horseradish and I did not speak out because it was too spicy

Then they came for the brown mustard and I did not speak out because it was too spicy

Then they came for the regular mustard and I did not speak out because it was too tangy

Then they came for my mayo and there was nothing left to put on my sandwich.
