Mr Sub was good. For me though the go to was on 51st and California. A late night corned beef sub from Submarine Port did me right.

that's what would happen to me with quizno's.

shane's deli in downtown wheaton remains to be the best sandwich joint in the burbs i know of. but nothing compares to the hoagies on the east coast.

subway is exactly the kind of place you go to when you have no other option. it's not terrible though.

 Yeah. THat's like 6 minutes of solid gold unintended comedy. I don't think a comedian could come up with that much funny for 5 solid minutes.

Subway has some sort of mind control over people. Near where I work, there is a Subway right next to a local pizza/sub/salad place called Pizza Rama.

Pizza Rama is one of those hidden hole in the wall gems. Fantastic, fresh, homemade food made fast. You can get a 10" sandwich that is way too much to eat, chips, and 20 oz drink for 6.50. There's so much food, people who have never been there laugh at how much you get for so little.

Or you can go next door to Subway and get shit on a hard roll for 10 bucks from a bitch manager who degrades her employees in front of customers.

Every day, the line at Subway is long and we get right in to Pizza Rama. I love it, but I just don't understand it.

I get a home sandwich every day. Sometimes its roast beef. Sometimes pastrami. Today it was hard salami on rye. No condiments. no cheese. No lettuce or tomato. None of that shit. Just a few slices of bread. Some random meat. Every day. For lunch.

Your wife makes your lunch? Why nothing else on your sandwiches?

Yeah she does. Because I don't want anything else. Too goddamn complicated.

When I am on the job, my cooler has meat and cheese on bread in a baggie. A sealable container has lettuce and tomato. Mayo and mustard bottles are in the cooler. Yogurt, fruit, and chips or crackers. I do it up right.

I think you're on to something there. I once ate lunch at the one on Madison / Clark like 40 days in a row. Same sandwich, same drink, same side. About 25 days in I saw two two cockroaches scurry underneath the soda fountain machine and I still went. I did report it to the manager though--he jumped the counter like Edwin Moses to his credit.
