Oh, with great glee. I think I recently commented that Richard Kiel was the only reason I knew what the hell "puce" was.

Also, he was funny w/ Jackie Chan in Cannonball Run II.

(people that don't like The Monkees - the show or the music - generally don't because they've been told they're supposed to not like it ... the rest generally turn out to just be dullards)

I'm displeased with myself that it took me until now to realize that I should've already typed "he must've Kieled over" ...

I saw this guy at a comic con a few years back, and he looked like he was already dead.

It's hard on us when people we love die. Especially when their name is a homophone for a verb. Stay strong.

Another hit* song from the minds of Boyce & Hart ... good enough to close out the Monkees' debut album on the short-lived Colgems label ... yes, I do have the vinyl, thanks for asking.

(*-okay, techincally it's only a "hit" because Davy & Mickey realized very quickly how dopey the song was and decided to screw around during an early take, and Don Kirshner had the presence of mind to put that one on the album ... but still ... for whatever reason you thought of it nearly 50 years later ... so ... again)

Anyone who doesn't like the Monkees should be summarily dispatched.

The "Goin Down" montage from Breaking Bad last year was awesome as well.

And, yes, I had all their vinyl.

Hendrix and Jack Nicholson are associated with The Monkees. How could they not be cool?

I saw Davey,Peter & Mickey some time back.they were great. I caught Dolenz again in Elk Grove about 2 years ago. He still sounds great.

In that pic w/ Zach, he kinda looks like the old hag version of that old-timey optical illusion ....
