What was the battle though? Honestly, dress codes are designed to keep people in line unless being done to mark a special occasion. That is the only place where a dress code provides value in my opinion. Your mundane life is not improved by wearing uncomfortable clothing and it is not improved by others wearing it.

Taking a plane was a special occassion I guess. Not anymore.

Its mostly old guy yells at cloud type stuff

Not really. It's mostly young douchebags making excuses for their slobitude.

No need to make excuses to explain why you are following arbitrary rules made by others. It's up to you to explain why someone in shorts, a t-shirt, and gym shoes is somehow violating a logical expectation.

All rules are arbitrary and made up by others. That's what we call "society". Just because it suits people to be lazy and degrade society doesn't make it correct or moral. But by all means, keep justifying reclining in public in your fucking pajamas.

I wore jeans last week end.

And I did not recline.

They are arbitrary. Even if you fantasize that a supreme being handed them down to Mohammed or Moses.

You were shorts to baseball games. People used to wear suits.

I'm not judging you for wearing a sportcoat though. If that is what you want to wear then I say go for it. Now explain why my choice of a t-shirt, shorts, and gym shoes is wrong.

I'm not on-board with the strict fashion guidelines such as JORR subscribes to, but there are some things out there that need to removed from society yesterday. People who wear sweatpants in public should be taken out back and shot.

Of course. That's why abortions are legal. Sometimes murder is okay.

Because lax dress creates a climate where nearly anything is acceptable, from attempting to lie prone to clipping one's nails.

That sounds made up.

I've never done those things and I don't wear sport coats unless I'm absolutely forced to.

When the U.S. Supreme Court says so.

If someone was planning to blow up a school, and someone murdered them before they could do it, would that be wrong?

So murder is arbitrary when the Supreme Court says it is?
