Always liked him, should be a nice night. JORR, what is acceptable attire for seeing an aging folk-rocker at a nice downtown theater?

Recommend a sport coat for Chicago Theatre shows for men--if for no other reason than the interior breast pockets make great wireless device holders.

Cracked the screen on a phone in my front pants pocket at an Eddie Izzard show there, just sitting down in the cramped seats.

I'd probably wear a sports coat to the Chicago Theater. But I'd be more likely to wear a t-shirt and pay 8 bucks for four bands at Albion House.

Wear anything you want, just don't dare stand up at any point during the show!!

The acts they book at The Chicago Theatre kind of amaze me. Can Jackson Browne really fill a room that big anymore? I've seen some other questionable bookings there in the past few years also.

Well, I had to get seats up in the balcony six weeks out (and they were still a bit pricey), so evidently he can.

So sport coat over a mock turtleneck? I was hoping I could get away with a cashmere v-neck over a dress shirt.

Clash t-shirt from your closet that has holes in it to prove your vintage. Goodwill cords to match. Varvatos sport coat to prove you made it. Not no nordstrom rack john V though. Something fresh. Look down on a lot of people. Repeat for every show you go to except metal shows. Never at a metal show.

No Doubt? I think that would be a good thread if it hasn't been done yet. Bands you hate to
admit you paid good money to see.

But I have to admit, "Molly" is still a guilty pleasure of mine.

Molly wasn't bad. They were just a clone band following a sound. Plowed is still a great drunk song. I'm not sure I know any other sponge songs aside from those two.

Terrific concert! Tight band, long encore, good banter.

As for dress, I think I overdressed for the occasion with a cashmere v-neck. It was much more casual, especially the big fat hag next to me in a dirty blue hoodie drinking beer with Rice Krispies Treats from a ziploc bag. She kept yelling "WOOOOOOOOOO" and "PLAY RUNNING ON EMPTY!!!!!" After she left, they played "Running on Empty."

All in all, nice night, glad I went. Afghan Whigs would have been a better concert for me but this wasn't 100% for me so :/
