You can hear Mannelly in transition just holding back from firing on Dan over Dan's opinions on Trestman.

Dan's already souring on Emery.

Soon Mark will be next.

Bears Friday! Nobody except Pat gives the Bears a chance against the 49'ers. So now I'm pulling for the Bears.

Enjoy. Tape the predictions.

Mannelly is confident the Bears will win even if Marshall and Jeffrey don't play. He shouldn't be going after anyone for bad opinions.

dan and terry always hedged their bets on trestman, making fun of him from the reports of the hire and of course the first press conference where he looked like an older version of the guy from the big bang theory and he was giving us nuggets like "i spent time with jay in a remote cabin during a rain storm late at night and i looked into his eyes and saw his soul and knew this was a guy i could believe in" (or whatever it was)

then when they got their hands on his book they were a bit reserved in going all out and rheeming the guy, mainly cuz this was around the time the score announced their radio side-deal with teh bears and emery was giving press conferences talking about #synergy and well, go figure since the bears got their own REALLY. SMART. PEOPLE. talking #synergy we haven't had the fun little drops/samples played throughout pressers as they attempt to bring levity to the sanctimony of the NFL. instead we gotta hear the latest and greatest from REALLY. SMART. PEOPLE. who are going to tell us what's what because as it's been reiterated a bunch via player interviews over the last year or two: we (the fans) have no idea what the fuck we're talking about.

so now that the trestman experience seems to have the arrow pointing down (even tho lovie's defense is being exposed as an aging suckfest that was seemingly lucky to get 10 TDs or whatever they got in 2012) it's all guns blazing on making fun of the guy as some sort of supernerd who exacerbates already-bad situations with his shallow coachspeak platitudes. b&b were careful to reserve the right to praise the guy if he does good and absolutely rheem him if he does bad, and with that arrow pointing down it's gonna be presented to us like b&b were the lone voice in the wilderness making fun of big bang theory from day 1.... which they kinda did, but when the offense was actually pretty damn good they quickly changed their tune and kept the ballbreaking to a minimum.

BREAKING NEWS: THE SCORE'S DAN BERNSTEIN IS AGAINST PEOPLE BEING HIT IN THE MOUTH. TUNE TO 670 THE SCORE FOR THE LATEST....

OH DAMN.... beerstain is officially pissed off at south africa where murder is legal! there's some other NFL player with a domestic abuse case and "waiting for the legal process to run its course" is laughable because "the evidence isn't good enough for you? there were fingerprints around her neck!"

and now we got a caller incredulous with some chick who is trying to stand out against the SJWish witch-hunts against domestic-abusers (who are totally guilty until presumed innocent. that's just the way it works) and of course FUCK BALTIMORE! dan asked if the whole "stop snitchin" campaign started there and terry immediately chimed in "yeah" so without even a shred of research we're ready to write off baltimore as a horrible city of ne'er-do-wells who outright "obviously like supporting criminals"

in fairness i just looked up the "stop snitchin" campaign and it did start in baltimore. but even if it didnt it basically did cuz a 50kw torch of truth and justice behind your words automatically makes you right.

wow some caller wants to "hit [bernstein] right in the mouth for talking all that trash" and bernstein is manning up and inviting the guy over to come whoop his ass. "[bernstein] can't mind [his] own business!" and at least the guy had the brains to realize "hey you'll probably have the police waiting for me" to which terry hurredly said yeah, so i guess this has always been the MO of the show? i remember hearing about how dan quickly reports "the whackos" to the police and hearing him challenge the guy to show up IRL seems like a new one to me.

#CestLaVie. such are the happenings on the forefront of SOCIAL JUSTICE! if you're not using a 50kw torch of truth and justice for, well, truth and justice.... what are you using it for? talking sports is what you do when you have nothing important to say, and if we can't have 5hrs/day of truth and justice being spread through the populace then really why are we wasting our platforms?

Dan is a pussy. If that guy showed up he would call his attorney and hide in the bathroom. The caller was right. People need to mind their own business and talk sports!

nope. abbatacola parted the clouds above to chime in and say that the guy is a bit. this would explain why dan did his COME TO THE REMOTE AND GET ME!!!!! thing in the wake of being challenged to a physical altercation, cuz he must have realized that "jim in elmwood park" or whatever is a bit, as abbatacola informed us of immediately afterwards. now it all makes sense why dan didn't quietly get a hold of the police during the commercial and instead challenged the guy to show up: he knew there was absolutely no chance of that happening cuz it was a bit!

We've seen your pictures. 50/50 at best vs. Bernstein.

I'm certain that, if that meatball wasn't a bit, that he'd be quaking in his boots. Nothing strikes fear in the hearts of mortal meatballs than the 'come at me bro' cries of a 5'8" 145lb Jewish kid from Deerfield with a prematurely deforming spine.

Yawn.

And of course, Bernstein's obligatory broad brush painting continues. Because there are a few dopes in Baltimore who feel differently than Bernstein about the Ray Rice situation, that automatically means that the entire citizenry of Baltimore is awful.

Same goes for all hockey fans. And all white people in Rockford (especially those that enjoy going to IceHogs games). And all people in the south because all people in the south are automatically racist. Oh, and Christians. They are all bad too. But all gay people are awesome.

Dan is explaining to his audience that apparently nice guys can commit violent acts.

He described this as a "complex" thought.

Add the definition of "complex" to the list of things he's never heard of.

man this last caller called up to say that the peak of cutler's time with the bears was the 2011 season, which i agree on. i was at that november 2011 game vs the chargers where it felt like big-boy AFC late game football with another instance of rivers vs cutler and while the chargers were ~.500ish after their traditional slow start, they came out able to put up points on the bears who responded to getting hit in the mouth by firing back and putting the game out of reach for the chargers in the second half.

i came out of that game all kinds of hopeful thinking "wow, this team showed me something today. they had an opponent putting up points on them and whenever the opponent got to the point where it looked like they were gonna overtake the beloved, i'll be damned if the bears didn't step up and score a TD in response, take the ball back, and put up another TD to go out and win the game as opposed to hanging around long enough for the other team to lose the game (a hallmark of the lovie smith era)

and then i got home that night and was reading the CSFMB and saw people referring to cutler's thumb injury and him being done for the year and i thought it had to be some sort of joke, i mean, no way was this team finally gonna go and show me that they had a legit chance at contending and then cutler caught some goofy injury that didn't even take him out of the game, but ended his season.

indeed, that was the case. i was back @ soldier field the next sunday for the start of the caleb hanie era versus the chiefs, which was a game genetically-engineered to kick bears fans right in the dick (watching what should have been the game winning TD literally go through roy will's hands into the outstretched arms of a chiefs defender after you've been waiting all game for the bears to put these clowns away = ugh. i even came back for the final home game against the seahawks or whoever where i got to see the end of johnny knox's career)

and yeah.... go fucking figure we ended up getting tebow'd along the way and what was arguably the most promising season since 2006 (that NFC championship game season never felt like anything was going to come of it. they beat a 7-9 seahawks team in those playoffs FFS) and now people call up b&b to reminisce on the past and they even remember brandon marshall playing for the bears in 2011. uhhhhhh what? last i checked marshall showed up in 2012 and had a damn-near-career-year en route to a 11-5/no-playoffs finish that ended the lovie smith era, and nowadays we'd prolly give up a kidney to end up 11-5 (not saying they shoulda kept lovie, but still)

so yeah TL;DR = the rosy colored glasses of the past have brandon marshall showing up in 2011 instead of 2012. at this rate if we keep on going we might be able to get rid of his whole time on the dolphins.

Dan just referred to Pat Fitzgerald as "Coach".

A generation of "us" and "we" callers would like an instant apology.

And then he authoritatively stated that money makes people happy. NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE SAYS. To which nouveau hillbilly Terry "500 Grand" Boers stutteringly agreed. If that's the case why are there more suicides at New Trier than there are at Simeon and Streamwood?

As long as he's apologizing he may as well cover all the people he called retarded for realizing that Jay Cutler was horseshit five years sooner than he did himself.

If Dan's going to apologize for all the stupid shit he has said over the years, they better cancel LoHo because this is running long today.

Good for Dan. These two were the last two to call for a change from the Lovie/Angelo regime. Nice to hear they are ahead of the curve on this one. Unfortunately, the people making the hires of the GM and HC have to go. There needs to be a culture change within the Bears hierarchy.

it's not nice to hear. They should be called out for all the people they termed stupid during the entire elongated hiring process that resulted in Trestman. They carry a whole lot of water for Svetty Teddy.
