I'm not responding to all of that.

i met my annual quota of responding to your flamebaiting (to use a bbs/usenet term that tends to stay back in the 90s) yesterday so suffice to say you can assume i'm not talking to you unless it's a response like this.

but hey i must have struck a nerve with my torch of truthiness yesterday if you're gonna dredge up that thread and refer to my calling out your MO 8)

That one is short enough that I'll respond to it.

Your posts certainly do elicit a certain reaction.

oh yeah. there's a lot of asskissers calling up alongside the clarion call for contrarian points of view (my father whooped my ass growing up and i turned out ok!) and now baltimore (home of the stop snitchin movement / "they obviously like supportng criminals") is effectively the new pennsylvania.

and hey still nothing about penn st's reduction in penalties or anything. if they did address it i reckon it was only one mention at the end of a segment or something.... but i suppose that the NCAA/penn-st did the right thing in using the ray rice debacle as cover to announce the return of bowl eligibility and scholarships-for-next-season cuz i mean, shit, we had a good 3-4 months of b&b devoted to taking a bold stance against child rape in 2011 or whatever and now penn st gets unpunished and we're busy having bernstein tell us about how we shouldn't use physical violence to discipline children because THAT'S BAD.... AND THAT'S NOT AN OPINION.

important radio from 130-5pm every day on 670 der schnorr!

As long as he's apologizing he may as well cover all the people he called retarded for realizing that Jay Cutler was horseshit five years sooner than he did himself.

But he's the best Bears qb evah!!

oh wow, so by calling out your schtick i'm now gonna have you following me around the board instantly responding to my rebuttals that came a couple'a hours after i eventually noticed yours?

yep. i'll sit back and smile knowing that i clearly won that one yesterday, which is funny cuz even tho i was the one writing all of that TL;DR stuff i let it go.... but clearly someone's not used to being [X] TOLD and thus he begins a crusade to really besmirch my good name around here.

and my name is like currency on the CSFMB i tell you what!

Guess we have to define the term "beat" . I don't think theres anything wrong with giving your child a swat on the ass but if we're talking repeated and continuous hitting with an object ( or hands / fists) often enough to cause markings, bruising, cuts then yeah, thats a problem.

So now this is what's gonna happen at the SCORE.

Hitting a kid is bad under all circumstances. Callers who call in with their story of their dad hitting them and them saying they are OK with it are ridiculed. So says Dan Bernstein. Fine. And Boers and drinky are in lock step which we just heard. Which means so is the rest of the station. Fine.

But you're not gonna tell me that every Score guy at the station wasn't hit by their Dad in some form. I don't believe that. What do they have? Like 30 guys working there? So when they ridicule callers for defending their dads, I want some of these guys to blast their own dads on the air. They won't.

especially when said radio show is designed to piss off people into calling up all angry to the host/s can stomp them and reinforce their talking points. it's amazing that people nowadays have this unequivocal sense of justice that causes them to get into arguments they can't possibly win and only stand to make themselves/their-argument look horrible by even bothering to fight the status quo!

you know anything about that, rick? =D

there's a difference between "beat" and disciplining with some physical intervention.

I talked to two women last night who said that Ray Rice should still be allowed to play football. "You can't decide one thing and then change the rules on him and do something else". A buddy of mine said that it was "illegal" what Goodell did to Rice. Amazing.

It depends what "some physical intervention" means. Beating someone with a switch is beating a kid.

For the record, I got the belt a few times as a kid. I don't hate my Dad. Also, for the record, I would never hit my kid if I ever had one.

It depends what "some physical intervention" means. Beating someone with a switch is beating a kid.

Beating someone is? One swat? Two swats? Three swats? I love my child enough to discipline her in whatever way I can so he does not repeat his behavior, which would be harmful to him. I would never "beat" my child. I never discipline my child when I am angry with or directly affected by their behavior.

If you are using any sort of object it is beating them.

so then don't respond. or by that i mean don't make a reply that technically responds by saying you're not responding because you're technically responding (even if it's the dickish "i'm better than this! i won't come down to your level" thingy. believe me i'm quite used to that at this point in my life) and well, it's all a bit disingenuous if you ask me (which of course nobody did but HEY NOW!!!!)

whatever's clever rickeroo! you're kind of a tangential poster here as outside of whatever purdue/anti-cutler crusade you've got here your "thing" seems to be getting into long involved arguments with people about politics or social issues or something.... and hey god bless ya i mean you're a CSFMB legend and everyone knows your steez, gangstarr.

following me around to poke and prod just isn't that becoming of you cuz like.... don't come down to my level. people like you here and you have nothing to gain by going "GAH LOOK AT THIS PIECE OF SHIT!" cuz everyone's invariably gonna be like "...we know" and we're treading into the realm of sadonecrophilia beastiality (.....it's kind of like beating a dead horse)

-----

also did i just hear rodewald on an update say that adrian peterson beat a kid with a switch? we're whipping out "the switch" ??? if it wasn't for that one episode of community with troy's nana i wouldn't have any goddamn idea that a switch is a stick-to-hit-you-with.

Wow. AP's kid is only 4 years old. And he had cuts. Sick son of a bitch.

That's it. He's going to jail. No doubt about it.

it is actually for a lot of people. Most people will report you regardless if you're spanking or hitting them with some sort of object.

And this AP stuff is awful, just for my record.

THINGS I HAVE LEARNED FROM BOERS AND BERNSTEIN OVER THE YEARS....

1) RAPING A CHILD IS BAD.

2) BEATING A KID WITH A SWITCH/BLUNT-OBJECT IS BAD.

3) THE EXPIRATION DATE ON FOOD IS MORE OF A GUIDELINE THAN A SET-IN-STONE RULE.

anything else i should know?

Hitting a child speaks more about the parent than a child.

If you don't have the time to take your child aside and speak with them.

Or take them aside and let them sit and think about a different response.

Then maybe you should re-consider having kids.

Well, in my amateur opinion I'd say that you should avoid it at pretty much all costs.

However, when it is reported that Peterson beat his with an object, don't call in and say "Kids should maybe take a beating every so often".
