This may be the worst weekend of the season for college football. There is very little worth watching including my team who won't even be competitive past the first quarter if that.

Maryland is so far looking like a pretty useless addition to the Big Ten.

Ohio State looking good against a team they should destroy.

Not much else.

Illinois-Washington and Georgia-South Carolina could be ok. Maybe Iowa has another loss to an inferior in state rival!

Sitting down for a Maryland game just doesn't satisfy my appetite for Big Ten football.

Nebraska seemed to fit in right away. This just doesn't feel right.

Then again, I think that is kind of the point. They are so scared of the demographic changes that they want the East Coast too.

I know I'm in no position to talk, but Indiana looks like they lost all the offensive talent they had last year. They kind of did though.

Soon to be 3-0.

Or 2-1.

Not sure.

Well, the offense looked better.

The defense may be worse than last year.

They've never had a defense.

Speak for yourself. Congrats to the Iowa State Football Cyclones for going into Iowa City as a thirteen (13) point underdog and winning outright.

I was out all day, so I am just catching up on scores and stuff in time to watch the highly anticipated Penn State/Rutgers kick off the B1G season.

Oh, and it looks like VT pulled their annual early season loss against an opponent they were expected to defeat.

17-14 ND in the third

This is not a good omen for the games against real teams

Over (61) in the Nebraska / Fresno State game is a lock. The winner will have 50+ itself.

Some things never change. Georgia once again rose extremely high in the early polls, and picked up an early season loss -- though against very tough opposition, on the road. Why not wait at least 4 or 5 weeks before voting Georgia into the Top 6 or so? It's a joke -- when will the voters ever realize they continue the overrating? What the hell, is it a love affair with Mark Richt?

USC gets all sorts of early-season attention, then has it handed to them by unranked Boston College. The ACC is proving to be a very good fb conference overall (except Virginia Tech was a big disappointment today). The Trojans are still depleted from the sanctions.

It's too early to tell if Virginia is any good based on their tripping up of Louisville, or if it's just a case of overrated Cardinals.

Purdue came up with some excellent plays on offense to rock ND early, and looks to have some quality talent. Were they caught looking ahead last week when dropped by Central Michigan?

Indiana and Illinois continue to struggle, although it was a much taller order for the Illini. The basketball season can't begin soon enough for the Hoosiers.

I thought Northwestern did surprisingly well vs. The Bye.

At least they put up a fight. Hopefully they use this to turn a corner. An effort like that could beat a lot of teams on their schedule especially if the quarterback can stop missing wide open receivers.
