Well if you hate him, it sounds like he's still mental enough that he'll fuck up off the field and get suspended. Wonder if he'll be back on Inside the NFL

He is victim blaming. He isn't taking any responsibility for his own actions. He is playing into the same "She just wanted money". He's using other crimes against family members as a cover for his own horrible actions.

Basically, everything he "claimed" about being cured is a lie.

I guess any time you present your side of the story it is going to be perceived as victim blaming. Just send the accused to the electric chair then.

This was, what, 5-6 years ago? Why now? Did he really need to defend himself after Allred's statement yesterday?

I agree, he should be sent to North Korea for justice. He should never speak again except through lawyers. I want to hear a one day at a time cliche, but only in a press release written by his lawyer.

Nobody in the NFL can seem to get anything right. What a clusterfuck.

Hopefully he only hurts himself this time.

So you're in favor of silence and/or a lawyer statement. You like coach speak. Got it.

Didn't everyone hate on Lovie for never saying anything?

I'm in favor of coach speak when the guy who would be speaking instead comes off as a petulant moron. In this case, pass it off the Very Smart People, Brandon.

Denis I think this is completely different than caring about what the hell a coach has to say.

Listen to it in its entirety and let me know if you agree with what you posted. Seriously. Having a hard time seeing where you're coming from here.

I think denis should also do some research on exactly what Brandon Marshall has done in his past.

Nah, it's not that important to me. From the point I heard it, he sounded fine, and I appreciate him actually saying something. If he sounded poorly before that, which seems to be the consensus, then shame on him. I'll defer to the collective judgement of the good folks on the CSFMB and the enlightened thoughts of Ben Finfer.

I believe that his point was his ex was physically abusive and admitted that she was the one that initiated these confrontations. Many times we ignore or even joke about women attacking men. He believes that the double standard is unfair. It's an argument he has zero chance of winning.

I was really uncomfortable hearing about his mother. Not sure what the point of that was. The Bears dropped the ball.

No sir, I choose to spend my time doing other things like watching the results of the Scottish Independence vote or the Alibaba IPO.

What kind of research are you doing on the child obesity crisis? None. So you choose to be ignorant? Good for you. I mean seriously?

I haven't heard it. Honesty is one thing, but it appears this was just a trainwreck from the start.

There was no need for a press conference today, that is the biggest problem here. The only thing this could have done was add more fuel to the fire. Good work Brandon, good work Bears.

I understand what he was trying to say. But I don't think there will ever be an appropriate time to call a press conference to say what he said. Pointless. You can only lose from something like this.

Yes, as much as folks want honesty, they really prefer to be lied to. That's why politicians choose to lie.

Finfer said the Bears should have coached Brandon up for this, implying that Ben would have preferred to be lied to.

What was it? His troubles span multiple women, areas, and years. He isn't the victim. He created the victims.

Brandon should have realized that he's basically gotten a pass.

He's gotten a second chance and a new lease on life that might not have happened if his transgressions had occurred in the past 2 weeks in the NFL.

Instead of understanding that, he's basically stood up and said "hey, what about me?". It was a horrible decision. I just hope it doesn't set the man back from the apparent progress he's made in his life.

This would be a politician lying about something nobody was asking about, when the public was already okay with the non-lying answer.

You're probably right. I would have had a hard time keeping my mouth shut after his name got dragged into the current mess this week. But you guys are right. I just love the honesty.

SO basically your whole point is that as long as someone is honest and doesn't in cliches that person should not be criticized. Never mind the actual content of what he says, right? just as long as he is being honest about it.

Not sure who comes off looking like more of an idiot, Marshall or you.

How in the fuck could the Bears think this was a good idea? Marshall came off as a dumbass. Horrible, horrible idea by all involved. Sounds like Marshall still has a ways to go.

I'd be worried if you agreed with me on anything. I've seen your thoughts on these message boards, and you should donate your brain for CTE research. They could just pin prick your head and let the mush ooze out into a beaker.

I know the "really smart people" thing is a cliche, but the Bears have demonstrated time and time again it's a department they are lacking in.
