I know the "really smart people" thing is a cliche, but the Bears have demonstrated time and time again it's a department they are lacking in.

Yep. It's no wonder it's been 30 years since a Super Bowl win.

Marshall gave out a handout, how nice of him. Hope the reporters studied for the test.

SO basically your whole point is that as long as someone is honest and doesn't in cliches that person should not be criticized. Never mind the actual content of what he says, right? just as long as he is being honest about it.

Not sure who comes off looking like more of an idiot, Marshall or you.

I'd be worried if you agreed with me on anything. I've seen your thoughts on these message boards, and you should donate your brain for CTE research. They could just pin prick your head and let the mush ooze out into a beaker.

He has/had a problem with women and abuse. The point he was trying to make was at least one of these women admitted to attacking him whenever she got upset. That would probably make him a victim if we viewed both as being terrible. We don't. We laugh when Jay-Z is attacked in an elevator but we were disgusted when we say Ray Rice punch his wife. We aren't upset when we hear a woman bragging about hitting a man but we would be if we heard a man doing the same. It's a argument no man will or should ever win. Marshall should understand this.

I listened for like 15 minutes and didn't hear one goddamn question. Just a weird perplexing monologue.

Has anyone uncovered a recording or stream of the presser in it's entirety?

I listened to it in the car.

I was going to cut up some of the audio if it's available online. One of these fucking sleuths around here will find it.

I almost went off the road when he brought up how much he had lost in salary and endorsements ($50M), I mean how narcissistic does one have to be..? And he mentioned the financial cost of his mother's rehab as a talking point? :eye:

$100k. Hearing about his mother was an uncomfortable listen.

NFL dot com playing up the "emotional" aspect. Da fire and da Passion

Good GOF, can the NFL handle anything correctly? Total clown shoes operation.

Silvy and Waddle had a similar reaction the 3 minutes I listened.

Some guy on the game now afraid the Bears should be worries Marshall gets penalized retroactively now. Lord. Please go play ball and stop worrying about domestic violence. Worry about the dud down the block from you hitting his wife and kids.

I think in the presser, we heard the "real" Brandon Marshall.

I hate that he is a Bear and good at football, yet for 3 hours on Sunday, I don't care.

When you are the common denominator in incidents that span multiple women, locations, and year you don't get to say that.

That is just victim blaming.
