I'm not there but the wind has to be roaring out. Schmidt could hit 4 today.

It's gusting I tell you. My toupee just vanished down the Randolph St. wind tunnel.

Cubs are MURDERING Kershaw to the tune of 3 runs, 6 hits, 2 walks and a HBP in 4 innings

Heard it was the first time in over 100 years that a starting pitcher with a sub-2.00 ERA faced a starting pitcher with a 6.00+ ERA (minimum of 20 starts). And the result were basically as expected (at least on the Cubs' end).

If EJax starts again for the Cubs, it's just a big FU to the fans.

I am glad they used him today. It was unlikely they were going to beat the Dodgers with Kershaw on the mound, so they might as well use Jackson there. It's a shame they can't just cut him, like NFL teams do and have the remainder of his contract voided.

That's four out of five stinkers for Mr. Turner. There's just nothing there.

Jacob Turner is the new, white Edwin Jackson. Every pitching coach will think they can fix him and none of them can. He'll have a cup of coffee with the White Sox at some point and piss me off.

Tough weekend going against the powerhouse lineup of the Dodgers. Some of these young pitchers deserve a longer look.

Kinda interesting that the Anti superstar in his playing days, Don Mattingly is charged with a clubhouse full of All stars with large personalities.

I'm OK with giving him an off-season to work some things out. Hard to make real changes at the end of a long season.

It doesn't look real good, though.

Strailly and Dubront were both really solid starters in MLB for a spell, and they look awful, too. Maybe Bosio just needs an offseason with all of them, because they all look like shit right now. The back end of the Cubs rotation looks like shit for next season at this point.

Turners stuff isn't good so I don't know what Bosio can do with him besides maybe trying to teaching him a cutter. His fastball has good movement but he can't command it. His slider which he rarely throws is bad, his curveball sucks and his change is inconsistent. If he develops a good cutter maybe that will give him an out pitch and he can be an ok bullpen arm.

And Travis Wood is fading, so maybe Bosio isnt really that great
