Greg,

Do you think RG3 is done in Warshington? I do. Cousins is a better QB & he is a much better fit in Gruden's offense.

I certainly think he could be. Cousins looked really good yesterday, then again, it's one game. RGIII has been a shell of himself, whether it's the coaching (wanting him to become a pocket passer) or his timidness after the injuries. I hope he's not done, though. I bought four of his jerseys and named my dog after him

Is your dog's name Brokedown? :P

Ha. It's subtle...Griffin. I used to refer to him as RG4, before RG3 started sucking.

My buddy got them. They look authentic and were only around $28 each. I got the traditional road, home, a yellow, and their alternate one worn last year.

Unless you were referring to the dog part...then go pound sand. It was going to be Griffin or name him after a beer.

My Goldon Retreiver is named Wrigley, so I too am guilty of Dog naming meatballery.

He most certainly is.

I like guys like Wilson and dislike guys like AP and Ray Rice. I hope you feel the same way.

Cliff Avril is still awesome though.

I admire what they have done. hundreds of fee agent moves and it seems that every player they have is fast. the speed on that team is incredible.

The fans are having their day in sun, when they need to pay Russell Wilson and he takes up 15% of the cap money and others come looking for money, they wont have that roster fleixibility they have now.

A few high paid guys, some injuries and some dead money, and you will see empty seats abound in that place.

Congrats to them, but we all know they are the coffee flavor of the month right now

Doubtful.

Even most terrible franchises sell out games.

Spaulding, Seattle was beautiful, but I was in Auburn, which is pretty much like the Schaumburg of Seattle. I did not go downtown until Thursday night, and it area was a lot like our downtown, except everything closes pretty early during the week. Pike Place Fish Market (where the throw the fish) closed around 730ish. The Space Needle had a private event so no one could go to the top unless they had special tickets. I should have asked Scorehead for his.

Next time, I'll be at a hotel in downtown Seattle and I'll get a better gauge of the nightlife.

Missed it...closed at 6:00. I did not get down there until 7:00ish.

I went to a place called Salty's in Redondo Beach, which was very good and had an awesome view of the Puget Sound.

Even as a Saints fan, they are (to me) one of the only reasons to watch NFL football.

I personally love Sherman. He may be one of the only NFL athletes who says anything interesting. And for the record I'm unsure exactly why any of you would dislike Lynch. Even after what he did to my Saints, I still respect & like the guy.

I am just starting to see Sherman as a front runner, when it goes well he will talk and talk. They get beat, he gets burned a couple of times like the Charger game and he doesn't have time to talk to the media, can't have it both ways.

That's actually part of the reason I like him. He isn't cliched, he's really brash, he irritates people and doesn't care. He's a fairly bright guy who has talked and played his way into a lot of cash and has attained attention whore status of the first order even before his way out of the way team won any damn thing. He knows his turn to take it will come & he's decided to milk it for all its worth now.

I hate his new Nike commercial though.

All of that was true, but he then wouldn't speak after a game when he got his ass whooped. And he always goes up to the QB after a win and tries to talk shit. He did it to Manning yesterday, then he sweat his ass off while Manning almost came back and won. Beyond that, he didn't even seal the game. Chancellor did. Let him talk.

He's also overrated (go ahead and crucify me). If he didn't play with the best safety tandem in football, he wouldn't look so great.

Edit: and you made me agree with Scorehead. I think I'll puke. Thanks.

i was in seattle back in 2001; i think it's pretty much the same thing as the blackhawks thing here. time was back when i was growing up, i seem to recall the seahawks fans always being known as the "quietest fans in the NFL". very polite, nice, and quiet.

now they're loud and obnoxious because they have a winning franchise. and the 12th man thing, from my recollection, did not at all exist back in 2001. at least, i didn't see more than 10 people wearing gear or anything and i was in the downtown area for over a week, including a sunday when they played.

it is so weird, i used to really like pete carroll until USC. since then, i have not been able to stand him. it's like he's made a deal with the devil only he's tricked him into still getting to go to heaven.

He gave up a couple plays and they werent even touchdowns. Not even close to "ass whooped"

The Seahawks played in a morgue and went 8-8 every year. No surprise their fans would be a non-factor. Then right as Holmgren turned them into something good, they built the new place designed to make sound bounce around and everyone bought in. But even in that timespan, I don't think everyone was buying in during those years that the Seahawks were 2-14 utter shitshows.

they made the playoffs a few years when i was growing up and were actually fun to watch sometimes. the kingdome was atrocious but fans were either quiet or just nonexistent. seattle was not a football town. now it is. i don't even remember the fans being this loud in 2005 the year they went to the superbowl...maybe we're paying for the sins of the officials of that game. still.

The Seahawks have given annoying people an opportunity to show how down with the cause they are:

Ugh, ugh, ugh. And here's some white guy from Utah on Reddit ingratiating himself with...blackladies? by offering to make Richard Sherman/Marshawn Lynch bumper stickers to stick it (npi) to the hot-takers who aren't ready for a strong black man:

Too many white people whining about the white people. This is all the internet is now: middle-class white guys sniping at each other. I suppose that's all it ever was, but now instead of being about MST3K and The Simpsons it's about race relations and feminism. I liked it better when it was MST3K and The Simpsons.

Word. Totally disrespectful to the Seahawk fans--who never stopped attending games--to compare them to the ultimate fair weather/bandwagon Blackhawk fans:

it's just a lot of their fans have prostate issues and so spend a lot of time in the bathroom during games, so it doesn't look like there are that many people there.
