I have been informed by a good Cub fan that it is only a minority of you who believe in Theo's Plan. Is he correct?

The problem with this poll is I can't vote in it so I can't see which side is the majority.

You live in Chicago, don't you? You get as many votes as necessary for your side to win. As a suburban bum, I only get one.

It is currently 5-1 in favor of Yes.

Well, if Sox fans believe in the plan via their vote, I don't care. I will use the results to show that folks are on my side!

I voted YES. I think it could work and have seen some evidence of it beginning to do so.

I apologize to White Sox fans that the Cubs aren't succeeding as quickly as they'd hoped.

Since I have become disillusioned with Cubs baseball and my father bitches about Theo 24 hrs a day, I voted "No."

I thought this thread was about Theo's plan to be a bus driver instead of a doctor and lawyer like his parents. I was on board with that and i'm on board with this other Theo guy too.

I'm surprised that RPB is not on board. There have been clear positives over the last 12 months, specifically. And based on that, and a bit of consideration given to reasonable moves the Cubs should make over the off-season, I think any Cub fan, even with the frustrations over the last three seasons, would feel more confident with Theo and Jed now than at any point previous.

The guy has already logged on with a mult. Im just calling it like I see it.

And Panther has 40 mults and an expressed HATE of Cub fans. So no need for the poll

Cant erase the last three years

Any plan that takes 5 years is too long in modern sports

I understand you might disagree. Agree to disagree. But that's why im not on board.

If it doesn't work, I'll be equally as crushed as I was in 1977, 1984, 1989, 1993, 1998, 2003, 2007, 2008, and 2011 when all the other great Cub plans didn't work either.

It's unprecedented for the Cubs to say they have a plan and Cub fans to watch it!

You know what's crazy? You and RPB can have a difference of opinion, and yet he doesn't brow beat you all day, every day for it.

Why do you want to erase the last three years? It is in the past. The heavy lifting is over. I don't think you're emotionally scarred by it, so I'm comfortable saying "who cares?" and "move on."

But we can agree to disagree. Don't come to the parade.

I'm not sure your point, and I understand I may be missing it, but this is the first time RPB and I have ever discussed this one on one. I did not know of this thoughts previous to this thread.

If you're criticizing JORR or Rick or Frank then high five!

RPB, if Theo was starting with an average organization, I would agree with you. The problem is that they first had to clear off old players with bad contracts overlayed with a depleted minor league system. There was next to zero young talent when they came on board and only a few valuable players.

They could have went the spend heavy method and accelerated the return to a winning team. As a life long Blackhawks fan. I am actually ok with all their bad years, which turned into a near dynasty simply because of great young players drafted by the team, a few key trades and free agent signings.
