Is denisdman doing some high-concept meta shit where he's going to make 100 Dale Decker references in one day? Because that's awesome.

Leash, that's the thing. Jorr and Brick are truly enjoying this, thus their Decker moment. While RPB is fighting for his CSFMB pride. I am sitting back totally amused without a care in the world. The Plan helps me sleep well at night.

Yes! Nothing gets past you. I am going to make Decker references all the time now. In my office, a bell goes off every time Decker does.

I've simply requested the official tally. It must be really lopsided if you won't provide it.

Ive provided it.

You're being dishonest now and to be real, its actually kind of disappointing. I wouldnt take you for the kind of guy who cant admit when he's wrong

Here is the assertion

Then, 80% of the Cub fans on this board say the losing was unnecesary

Its very clear

Honestly, there is nothing I have enjoyed more in the back and forth since Theo was hired than the fact that 80% of Cubbie Nation now disapproves of the plan.

Honestly, it is not even something I would have even thought about arguing.

I know you guys have pretty much wrapped this up.

But, it could be argued that losing was, in fact, necessary to execute this version of the plan.

Carry on.

You seemed very concerned about the perceived intelligence of Cub fans, but this makes it seems like they didn't understand what The Plan was. The Plan is losing. At least until that is no longer The Plan.

 This has been a true treat.

If you think it is a good thing that you've proven that 80% of Cubs fans don't like the plan then that is fine. That is a twist I didn't expect.

Again, you treat everything like its a contest. Youre so far into that mindset, it doesnt even cross your mind that someone might actually just be posting honestly or trying to find out the truth (as opposed to arguing for your side)

So which camp does that put you in? Bryan is taking your vote for granted when it seems like you support losing as part of The Plan.

Are you going to admit you were clearly wrong about the Cub fans on this board?

If you're just going to be stubborn and not acknowledge what's been put right in front of you, we should just move on.

You are literally tallying votes in order to prove JORR wrong on something he said and then declaring victory on it.

Not this again. You're not content getting RPB riled up, you've gotta send out the someguy signal too?

I would say necessary because of the principals, not the principles.

What's scary to me is how the goalposts have moved from building a championship team to building a team that can try to make the playoffs every year. That shit is the same as Andy MacF-A-I-L's infamous line about being "competitive within our division," and he didn't need to build a Toyota sign, lose 100 games, and villainize Beth Murphy to win a Wild Card.

Andy MacPhail lost his ass off for 4 years before lucking his way into the playoffs and then continuing to 90-loss advance up the executive ladder.

This Theo shit is nothing. If he even finishes .500 a couple times, he'll be President of the United States by 2020.

Hendry was the only GM to build a consistent regular season winner. Unfortunately he had to overpay a lot of guys way above market to make it happen.

I literally have no idea what is happening in this thread. It looks very much to me like RPB drank 3 grande mocha fraps with a triple shot.

Looked it up, pretty sad and not so consistent:

Hendry was the only general manager in Cubs history to oversee three postseason clubs (2003, 2007, 2008) and was the first Cubs general manager to lead the franchise to consecutive postseason berths since the 1930s. Under his tenure, the Cubs were 749-748. He was the third longest serving general manager in the history of the club.
