Konkero has a higher OPS. He wins. Especially since they both played a power hitter's position

I would say "what's your point?", but i know there isn't one.

It looks like 2 good players to me.

I'd take Grace. Better fielder. Lefthanded 1B is a thing of beauty. plus never pulled the eeyore after popping up.

You can just make the statement. The stats don't prove anything.

Its included in the OPS

On Base plus Slugging

Konerko's lead in slugging percentage is bigger than Grace's lead in on base

No you wouldnt. You'd get tired of him never homering or driving in runs while Jack Clark is killing you

I also guess averaging a .303 average over 16 years is not impressive compared to Konerko at.279 for 18.

Mark Grace wasn't better than Wally Joyner or J.T. Snow.

Those hits are included in OBP, which is included in OPS...

Are you serious, jimmy? One guy hit 35 homers a year. The other guy hit 12.

Do you know how those ratings are determined?

I think they are voted on by guys named Jimmy Patsa.

Exactly. All 3 were better than Konerko

SLG % doesn't show that much of a discrepancy because Grace was a doubles machine.

Total Bases:
Mark Grace = 3,565
Paul Kornerko = 4,083

Go ahead and laugh off Baseball reference material. I guess stats only count when you can use them in your favor. In the argument of "Grace vs. Konerko"=CASE CLOSED!
