Why didn't you guys tell me Fox and Hound sucks? Isn't that the preferred hangout of your "Let's get together and watch Baez strikeout" club?

Mrs. BR: Where should we go?
BR: I saw a Fox and Hound over there. I've heard of it and I think it is good.
Mrs. BR: Ok. Sure.
(we go in)
(we see the "menu")
BR: We've already ordered our drinks.
Mrs. BR: How do they not even have cheese sticks on the menu? Isn't this a sports bar?
(Mrs. BR reads the yelp reviews)
Mrs. BR: Uh oh.

I had 3 tacos and she had a french dip.

We regretted not going to Cooper's Hawk. Buffalo Wild Wings is significantly better and that is another place that you go to because it is there and has a few decent items.

Fox and Hound is a chain, and the locations vary greatly in terms of service and quality. The Bloomingdale and AH locations are much better regarding service. Beers on tap change from location to location. The food is mostly the same...but no one goes there to eat. The food is just a supplement to the drinking, and usually consists of a burger or appetizers.

It's a bar and grill. Have you no expectations?

Anyways, let this be a warning to everyone else here. Avoid Fox and Hound unless your standard for what makes a good bar and grill is "Serves beer".

An Olive Garden opened in the city on Addison and Central Park and apparently this is supposed to be a big deal. Gov. Ryan came out for the ribbon cutting and everything. Maybe Biggie can drive by and tell us if the breadsticks are tastier.

There are no shortages of establishments with great beer, and great food. Nobody should have to eat bad food.

I assumed people actually had something to eat. I guess that was a bad guess.

I go to "restaurants" for meals.

Bar and grills are bars with a menu that consists of more than just peanuts. In other words..."most bars."

I get what you're saying. I like it b/c it's close, has decent beer list, many TVs and food hasn't poisoned me yet. My standards for B&G's are low.

Exactly. When was the last time you were blown away by bar food?

I had some boneless wings from the Chili's at SeaTac, and they were fresh out of the fryer. Best boneless wings ever.

I just figure the better B&G's follow the Sysco or US Foods recipe directions more closely.

Bars should have good food. I have resisted IMU's advances to go to Fox. He's met up at Pop's, Bulldogs, and Old Crow.

SeaTac? Isn't that the place with the $15 minimum wage?

I wasn't asking to be blown away. I've had good meals at plenty of them though.

Buffalo Wild Wings has a far superior menu and even that isn't a high bar.
