It's nice anytime the Flubs score more than 2 runs. I don't want to hear about more production when the weather warms up but I guess for mopes like Soriano (Derrick Lee in the recent past),it holds true. Like I said in the beginning of the season,I would play Sappelt in CF and Hairston in RF until they prove to me they can't hit RHP too. I just think they give the Cubs more sorely needed pop in the lineup.

I honestly do not understand you at all. In one breath you want veteran retreads starting to give the Cubs respectability (ex: DeJesus) but in next breath you want a fringe major-leaguer in Sappelt to start. Pick a lane!

BTW: Sappelt has 2 career HRs...

It doesn't come from a lack of trying. Sappelt swings for the fences every AB.

How bout a little love for Travis Wood. 2 pretty good starts to begin the season. The defense kinda screwed him a little tonight.

Wood is showing some signs of figuring it out. Let's hope it continues.

Tonight's game between the Brewers & Cubs has been rained out. No make up date has been announced. The forecast is better suited for Bears & Packers than bad baseball tonight with rain & colder wind chills forecast this eve.

I'm a big Travis Wood fan as previously stated in other threads. I see no reason why he can't be a permanent #3-4 starter on a very good team.

It is brilliant isn't it.

No, Ned Yost was brilliant

I actually liked him, I know I am the only but there that has to be that guy.
