My goodness is drinky an idiot. After his last update, where he brought up the CTE story, I thanked him on twitter, for getting Bernstein on concussions for the next three hours. After the update, they were continuing their previous conversation, so he responds back to me, "look they're not talking about concussions". Two minutes later, they went into the concussion talk, so he told me to PTFB, which I did. What a dolt.

Anybody who follows me on twitter, should go and read that.

Do they really still believe that they have this growing 'hate listen' audience and people aren't just tuning out? Shit they should at least be worried they've grown stale, let alone actively turning off people.

Though he's right in that they know more about the ratings than I do. I doubt it's going too well.

Whats the highest rated show on the score? I can't imagine that many people listen the B and B. No fun at all. It's like listening to Olberman and Bill Oreilly doing a sports show

Olbermann and O'Reilly on the same show? Bernstein is probably a big fan of Olbermann, but he does go crazy like O'Reilly, if that's what you mean. The show is more like Olbermann and a parrot.

i've said it before and i'll say it again.... dan's "rosebud" is that they're really trying to do what skip bayless and stephen A do and "embrace debate"

except it's dan's concussion/SJW/who-are-we-pitchfork-n-torching-today discussion as opposed to whatever the talking points on first take are.

dan turned a thing where his show was the fun bad and gay oasis in a day full of meatball talk into the standard, and now if you don't agree with it THERE IS NO ARGUMENT and you either need to listen more/closely or PTFB. it's their way or the highway.

and in the bigger picture it's kind of like how every seemingly anti-establishment entertainment act eventually becomes the establishment and loses their soul somewhere along the way, but hey if their kid plays sports on FieldTurf(TM) who am i to argue with the man's raison d'etre?

I forgot to post on this one, but did anyone hear the CLASSIC Bernstein model in full effect around 5:30 on 9/30?

Apparently there's a team in Morris, IL named the Redskins. Apparently they'd like to keep that name.

So, in typical Bernstein fashion, he:

- offers his opinion as undisputed fact with no room for anyone who thinks differently
- definitively states that anyone who doesn't think the same way is an uninformed rube.
- tops if off with baseless assumptions and accusations
- makes wide sweeping statements about a group of people, a community, etc.

Bernstein literally said that the town of Morris - as a whole - every person there is racist (which is interesting because census data I saw shows it having 20% black and hispanic population. He also said that 'these are the same people who say the N word casually'. Think about that - he said that because some people in a town want to keep the name of a team mascot (a name that the entire nation does NOT see as racist), that automatically means that these same people casually use the N word. He knows this definitely, yet he's never met a single person from that. Of course, he then goes on some Slate/Gawker style rant by painting the typical 'missing teeth right winger' that he often does.

THAT right there is Bernstein in a nutshell.

Well, there really is no argument in favor of having that as a team name...
