No one should go to any Fox & Hound, ever. Whenever any of my friends agree that they want to go to Fox & Hound, I just stay in.

Mrs. BR: Where should we go?
BR: I saw a Fox and Hound over there. I've heard of it and I think it is good.
Mrs. BR: Ok. Sure.
(we go in)
(we see the "menu")
BR: We've already ordered our drinks.
Mrs. BR: How do they not even have cheese sticks on the menu? Isn't this a sports bar?
(Mrs. BR reads the yelp reviews)
Mrs. BR: Uh oh.

I had 3 tacos and she had a french dip.

We regretted not going to Cooper's Hawk. Buffalo Wild Wings is significantly better and that is another place that you go to because it is there and has a few decent items.

I didn't know you were French.

Again. Worse than Buffalo Wild Wings.

We weren't expecting it to be great. I was expecting it to be better than BWW. It wasn't.

We like sports bars especially compared to something like Fridays or Applebees.

It does on both sides. I just tripped myself up for a second because it's 3600 West and so I wrote "west." It also needs a better name. I think it's called Conservatory Drive near the conservatory, which wouldn't be accurate away from it, but I don't see any Central Park around here.

I'm confused. BWW is pretty much the gold standard for chain sports bars. They are what they are... frozen food with adequate drinks.

I thought Fox and Hound went bankrupt a few months ago.

BWW seemed to have a much better menu and seemingly cared about it. As I've learned in this thread, even the regulars don't actually eat anything there.

if BWW has any event and they know they will have more than what the fryers can handle, they start making them and put them in the steamer. So you get the soggy wings, that might have been made 4-6 hours before you got there.

BWW always seem to be filthy, especially for the sterile suburbs. There clientele really seems to be a low class collection.

I assumed people actually had something to eat. I guess that was a bad guess.

I get what you're saying. I like it b/c it's close, has decent beer list, many TVs and food hasn't poisoned me yet. My standards for B&G's are low.

Exactly. When was the last time you were blown away by bar food?

I have been.

It should be really good. Its easy to have good bar food.

I understand perfectly what you're saying.

If the food is passable for Kirkwood and his Merry men, that's fine. Nothing wrong with that. But there are a ton of sports bars with really good food (in a sports bar sense)

Its all good. Next time, you and the wife can stay at my place and Ill take you around Chicago

If the suburbs of Chicago don't have good sportsbars then my whole life is a lie and the city may be better than the suburbs.

Most sports bars that bother with food are decent, imo

I will say, Id probably not order tacos at a sports bar. Go with the Nachos

Fox and Hound has some kind of cheese stick on the menu. I've had them there before. I think they're called "cheese wedges" because they are in the shape of a triangle. I'm sorry you can't read.

By cheese sticks I mean mozzarella sticks. I don't want pepper jack cheese triangles. Pepper jack cheese sucks.

Sorry, Pepper Jack cheese = cheese. I guess you should be more specific.

If you want to play the literal card here then they aren't sticks. I guess I was specific enough.
