Roger Staubach. The end of his career was at the beginning of my NFL consciousness. The Cowboys always seemed to be on national TV and he always seemed to be leading them back week after week. His backround story is also impressive. I know a lot of people hated those Cowboys but I loved them.

Dan Fouts was a favorite as well. He really is discounted because of bad defenses and a cutting edge offensive system.

We have to be really close in age, Danny White used to piss me off with his comebacks.

I was a Cowboys guy for a long time in my youth. I remember getting one of those faux leather sleeved letterman's jackets with a matching knit hat for Christmas.

I can see why people think so. I think it's all deserved.

Complete Asshole of a guy, but amazingly cool to watch him flick his wrist and the ball shot out. The guy could barely move and never got sacked beause of this.

Only guy to beat the greatest team ever.

What? The 1996 Packers didn't play the Dolphins that year.

Took me a while to think it over but at my age I have to go with Marino as well.

John Elway is Jay Cutler with likeability in a different era and with two SB wins that should be credited to his runningback.

Elway's career high in TDs was 27. His career QB rating is 79.

His yards per attempt, completion percentage, and rating are all lower than Cutler's.

Steve Young.

But I had to put money on one game & I needed a QB, I'd pick Staubach. (I hate making that admission. I hate almost all things Dallas, especially the fucking Cowboys)

(OK, I always liked Tom Landry & Jimmy Johnson. Given his tenure as GM, I even kinda like Jerry Jones, but really, that's it. )

Different era. Another reason why Favre is underrated too. He played in both eras.

The Bears were bad when I was a kid and I latched on to the Cowboys, who were usually on TV.

Jay Cutler is creeping up my list. Probably in my top 5 now.

I never really gravitated towards QBs as a kid but mine were Danny White, Joe Montana and
probably Steve Young. Once I started playing fantasy football in the early 2000s I had Steve
McNair on my team for a number of years when he was at the peak of his career. I enjoyed
watching him play.
