I used to be a believer in Carcillo, thinking he could be a talented player if he dropped the shenanigans, but he wound up doing dumb shit with us and even dumber shit with the teams after us. There's no point in signing him unless it's to stash him in Rockford, and even then, why?

Well, they saw Carcillo get in a fight less than three minutes in and do shit else and decided "damn, we gotta get this guy back." One year at $550,000. I don't get it. It's not a backbreaker of a deal by any means, I just don't get it. Worst of all, this almost certainly means Jeremy Morin is being traded along with Nick Leddy. That makes the roster decidedly worse.
