There is no way there isn't long term mental health concerns about any teenager who has an inappropriate relationship with an authority figure. It's not like men have some type of evolved brain which basically says "That was completely normal".

it doesn't have to do with having an evolved brain. if you had a female teacher when you were an adolescent that you thought was hot did you really think of her as an "authority figure"?

I probably viewed them in the same way that the girls did who thought a male teacher was hot. That still makes them an authority figure. In fact, I'd imagine that factors in heavily as to why these things happen. Otherwise, these teachers would just go to a place filled with 17 year olds and find someone who was willing to do this in a completely legal way.

Yes, that makes them an authority figure. But that doesn't necessarily mean oneperceives them as that. That's my point. it's a difference in perception...and perception can be reality to an individual, right or wrong (especially an immature person). But a 16 year old girl is typically not going to think of "dominating" their male teacher whereas I am pretty sure a 16 year old boy will. Just like it's more typical that a boy thinks of his father as more of an authority figure than his mother. that's pretty much human nature. there are exceptions to this rule (like anything in life) but i have never seen a case where any of these "boy had sex with female teacher" ever went into hiding or committed suicide, like i have with girls in the same situations. they probably all need therapy, no doubt...

Female Gym Teacher Caught Sleeping With Young Student Multiple Times

When Megan Mahoney offered to coach one of her young, male students in basketball, she apparently had more than athletics in mind.

The 24-year-old Catholic school teacher from Staten Island has been charged with 30 counts of statutory rape and four of criminal sexual acts for her relationship with a 16-year-old student, which happened between October 2013 and January 2014.

Mahoney, who was the assistant athletic director and assistant girls’ basketball coach at Moore Catholic High School, began a months-long affair when she offered to give the teen a little extra help with basketball.

She and the student engaged in sex at least twice a week, and oral sex several times a month, according to police.

The tryst came to a sudden end when the teen’s ex-girlfriend called the police after spotting Mahoney and the student eating out at a local pizza parlor. The student had also bragged about his conquests to his friends.

When officials informed the school in January, Mahoney promptly resigned from her job and Moore reportedly expelled the student.

Mahoney has since been released without bail until her trial date can be scheduled.

Symone Greene, who was subbing at Options Public Charter School (D.C.), was charged with first-degree sexual abuse of a minor in a significant relationship. Greene and the player apparently met for the first time that day in her class. The Washington Post has details.

Near the end of the final class, authorities said the student gave the teacher his cell phone number.

A few minutes later, police said, Greene sent the student a text message. The two proceeded to chat, though the student deleted the messages and could only recall parts of the conversation, according to the affidavit. At one point, the student said he texted the word "kinky," the court document says, and the teacher allegedly responded: "I don't tell I show."

The student told police he returned to the classroom and that Greene let him in. He arrived at 3:26 p.m., and because of the pep rally, he had to leave by 3:40 p.m. According to the affidavit, the student asked for sex acts to match the number on his jersey. Police said the encounter happened behind her desk and that the student used his cellphone to surreptitiously record it.

The player later showed the video to his friends, and kept talking with Greene through the weekend. According to police documents obtained by the Post, Greene told him to "chill" so she wouldn't get in trouble, also texting, "Tru but u don't just be having sex with just anybody but I cant doe my body is taken for my boyfriend."
