Fired with 2 weeks to go in the season and tied for the wildcard spot, thought he would get fired, but with 2 weeks to go, sorta surprising.

This has to be a first. A MLB manager being fired while he's tied for a playoff spot. In mid September no less.

Aww man, sucks for the NL Central has to lose such a terrible manager. He wasted the best teams they've had had in years with his poor performance, especially if they don't get in this year.

This was an interesting move. I wont be surprised if later it is said that the players asked for this to happen. Listening to the press conference, you could tell that this decision was made simply for the players as a favor. Yost has had run-ins with players and has generally been a poor manager. I dont think this will set any precedent for firing managers late in the season. All that being said, I still think the Brewers will not make the playoffs simply on the fact that they have a horrible bullpen.

I think RV and Mopery sent mails to North's sponsors, then North threatened to sue them.
