Those numbers, admittedly optimistic by whoever created the post, equal up to another sub .500 team

Incredible that you are able to project that based on projections of 4 players.

And yes, Cub fans will be fine with Soler having an .800 OPS in his first full year

You have shown yourself pretty clearly to not have your finger on the pulse of Cub fan thinking, despite your slanted poll (hey, hey).

Absolutely false. I've proved wrong many of the lies the Sox subdivision tries to put on Cub fans (all cub fans love Theo, losing is righteous etc)

Keep believing what you will though. I know you guys are way too far in to turn back now

Btw, you were more optimistic about the God awful Sox than any Cub fan has been in years. So I wouldn't be casting stones in regards to unrealistic expectations

Face it, you are out of touch with this despite your projections of your thoughts onto Cub fandom.

Bullshit. I believe you will find ample evidence of me saying that I had no idea what the Sox had before the season started. However, it quickly became apparent they had acquired some talent, like days for Abreu and weeks for Eaton.

It seems like this post is just saying that offensive numbers are down. I don't think that's a commentary on the "meaninglessness" of batting average. The fascination with the walk has created a boring game loaded with strikeouts, and without an increase in OBP.

You're completely full of shit. Bernstein has sycophants that will repeat whatever he says and sometimes he flat out makes them up himself(see Bill from Capitol Hill)

You're stupid old "Cub fans are idiots who think they'll win every year" stereotype is old and bad. Its been proven.

You dont even have your facts correct (shocking). It wasnt my poll.

And my position was never "All Cub fans hate Theo"

My position was that Cub fans dont fall into the ridiculous parameters (Theo is God, Losing is the ONLY way to rebuil ) that JORR attempts to put them in.

That's what makes your claims so hilarious.

You're spent most of the year criticizing the team across town, while your team had their second straight horrible season and you were there talking up the wild card.

80% of Cubs fans don't believe in the plan. That belief certainly doesn't come through in threads like this.

I understand that certain (most) Sox fans define themselves in relation to the Cubs and their fans. Its part of Sox fan's identity to think he's a smarter and better baseball fan. Its part of the inferiority complex.

When examined, its very obvious how ridiculous the stereotypical notion is, but fandom is not to be examined.

Sox fans will continue to be who they are. I accept that.

I look forward to reading about how the Sox are only 6 games behind KC in the loss column and right in the Wild Card mix in May next year.

Not true

80% of Cub fans dont fall into JORR's category of thinking Losing is the only way. Pretty big difference.

I know you want it to be the way you wrote it, but it's the other way

You keep on saying this like the question is hard. It isn't.

Your stance is that 80% of Cubs fans don't believe in the plan. I'm not writing it any different than the literal question.

Create a thread called "Was losing for 3-5 years the only way the Cubs could rebuild?" if that is what it actually is.

It wasn't just B and B. Sir detailed text after text for a full hour stating the position of Cubs fans. Sir isn't even a Cub fan and he stated how he was on board as well.

That's a flat out lie. How do you not get that?

I just explained it.

I think a good amount might believe in the plan. In fact the poll in that thread backs me up.

The 80% refers to losing on purpose being the only/right way

You've done it many times now. Every time you write that 80% thing you are knowingly lying.

You should maybe read the thread, the poll question and the results before you continue

BTW, for those scoring at home. Here is another episode of "Brick tells you what your opinion is"

No exaggeration

He posted something

I said "I dont believe that"

He wrote "Yes you do"

The title and question of the thread was "For Cub fans only. Do you believe in Theo's Plan?".

You claim that 80% of Cubs fans would respond "no" to that question.

We don't have to make this difficult by making it a completely different question. This should have been one of the most simple things in board history.

Create a thread called "Do you think losing for 3-5 years was the only way to rebuild?" if that is the actual question.

Ive never made that claim. You're way too comfortable lying.

That is the question that I asked in the thread you keep lying about.

That question (Is losing the only way) was answered one way (80% No)

Do you believe in the plan was answered another way in the poll (like 75% yes)

I know you're not dumb. You get the difference. Its disappointing that you continue to lie about it. Youre better than this.

Yes, they were. They and 26 other teams were within striking distance of the Wild Card

So optimism was justified. I didn't go and reserve playoff tickets.

I think you will find peace once you realize that your position is correct, but it is not representative of the position of your clan.

I am comfortable being the only member of the Meatpants and Gillaspie ALS. It can be refreshing to be a lone wolf

If being in the top 25 teams is reason for optimism in your eyes, who am I to argue?

Just because you hijacked JORR's thread and made your own dumb rules doesn't mean that the ultimate question of the thread wasn't "Do you believe in Theo's plan?".

Your question is flat out stupid. Of course there is more than one way to do a rebuild. The answer should be 100% No based on your dumb criteria. The Cubs could have spent $200 million in a season and have rebuilt. The Cubs could have traded young talent in the system at the time that Theo got here and been able to rebuild.

Stop with calling me a liar. The fact is the thread was asking "Do you believe in Theo's plan?" and your answer is that 80% of Cubs fans do not. I'm going to post that until you take it back and admit that more than 20% of Cubs fans believe in Theo's plan because they OBVIOUSLY do. It's comical to think otherwise.

So, here is your last chance. I will forever cite this number as to not be "lying". The question is clear and concise. If you don't give me a number I will assume your answer is 80%.

What is the percentage of Cubs fans that do not believe in Theo's plan?
