That's not what he said.

He was talking about the idiots that can't wait to tell you it was wrong for the Cubs to lose (which is how they got people like Bryant), and then those idiots move the goalposts to bitch about not bring him up fast enough ... when in fact not only have they changed their argument, they changed it to an argument that is obviated and invalidated by the original argument.

Did I hear Meat Gut say Theo inherited a bottom 5 farm system?

No, he just said they went from a bottom 5 to a top 5 ... no timeline was specified.

Baseball Prospectus had them ranked at 20th with:

Three-Star Prospects
3. Welington Castillo, C
4. Dillon Maples, RHP

Dan asks whether last year was the Bears' shot. It could have been. So was 2012. They blew that too. Could be looking at a closed window here.

So Jay Cutler is so talented he doesn't know what to do with it? He's been in the league for eight years! He should know!

Whoa ... I think Matty is trying to argue the 'Cutler still hasn't been unlocked' angle vis a vis Brett Farve.

Yep I nailed it... A one sentence show thread was created while I was sitting on the bus writing out 2.5 paragraphs on my phone....c'est la vie.

Sooo did I just hear mattycakes continue the NONTROLLFEST / show-wide-edict to break bad on the bears by saying the 2013 bears were really a 4-5 win team tops? Yikes. Now he's saying that jay cutler is categorically a superior QB to josh mccown? I'm expecting a call from Rick in New York to refute this hideous claim ASAP.

At the very least I can hear rozner yelling ITS MCCOWN!!!! in my head. Easy radio.

Whoa... Matty saying cutler is by far the best QB in bears history. Yep. Troll radio at its finest

paraphrase: Cutler is the current best (athlete) at his position in Chicago.

I'm presuming this is a global pronouncement, not just football.

Look, if that's what he's saying, he's wrong, I just don't exactly know how wrong it is .... the first two people I thought of were Chris Sale and Patrick Kane.

Favre won a championship in his sixth/age 27 season. Cutler has won one playoff game through his ninth/age 31 season. I know there have been late bloomers at this position, but come on, Matty, I don't think there's much left here to unlock.

I guess I was wrong I would have thought Kramer was closer. Pro Football Reference (depending on where you draw the attempts floor) has McCown, Cutler then Kramer in QB rating. I did not use yards as that is longevity as well. I guess Cutler is the man.

I don't want to listen to Matt Miller. I'm sure it will be fine. Someone fill us in. That's hot. Not really ... ick.

No, that's "WHY DON'T YOU LOVE ME?"

As for Marshall, boy, it's a long road down from big black stud to emasculating sociopath. I hope the assembled media got the note from Marlon Brando's Helper Monkey not to enable him further with their laughter.

This verse suggestion was the beginning of Paul McCartney hating Yoko Ono.

Sczur was both a top D II RB on a championship team and a professional baseball player

Those arguments are mutually exclusive. I would spend the time discussing it with Dan for the low, low price of $350 per hour

Dude I conceded to you in my showthread... OH and I didn't mean to make a passive/aggro shot at you VIS A VIS the "aha I was right someone made a 1-3 sentence showthread while I was in the process of writing mine up on the bus. I only responded to Rick's drive-by poo-pooing of me cuz he's had a sini boner since I took the bait and argued him in a 9/11 thread.

Basically I had a thought/musing during tranny and saw no showthreas so I decided to make one. You made yours in the process of me writing mine and since you're not a TL;DR maven like I am, well, c'est la vie. Now I've got a place to post my much-needed thoughts during WYC so i'm like HAWGEROONIE at a weight watcher's seminar: i'm a pig in shit!!!! ;)
