Here's the difference between Emmitt Smith and Barry Sanders. With Emmitt, the first person to touch him brought him down. Fortunately for Emmitt, he played behind such a great team that the first defender to touch him didn't do it till 5-10 yards downfield. With Barry, the 3rd or 4th person to touch him brought him down. Unfortunately for Barry, that 3rd or 4th person often met him before he even got back to the line of scrimmage.

Off the top of my head here are a handful of RB's that were better than Emmitt..I won't even include Galimore even though I'm sure he was better than Emmitt.

Whoever said all those players were overrated??? Emmit was the ONLY player on that team being carried by everyone else. That offensive line is one of the best to ever play the game together. Aikmen was awesome and so was Irvin.
