i forgot to email this in last week. but on FOX last sunday morning, they were scrolling the locations of all the games and the wheather in the home cities. a pretty cool thing actually. san diego- sunny high 70s; new york- cloudy 70; detroit- rain showers 65; minneapolis; high 70s chance of rain.

now while thats good i know the weather in detroit and minne, it will have ZERO bering on the game because both football stadia are INDOORS.

He said that the new lead singer for Queen was Paul Stanley. Well, Paul Stanley is the lead singer for KISS. I don't think he'd leave KISS for Queen. The actual lead singer is now Paul Rodgers, formerly of Bad Company.

Paul Rodgers: I agree, it was a beautiful experience; it was really a fun filled night. All of the bands there are very real people. They have all been through a lot and they have all achieved success. I only wish we could have played longer. I don’t normally bump into so many great bands in one night. It was a moment in time to be remembered standing there talking to Paul Stanley, Joe Elliott from Def Leppard and Slash – we're like old mates. It was interesting that there were three English bands there. It was like visiting home, almost.

Thumbs down to ESPN 1000 for the special "Cubs Playoff" edition of "Talkin' Baseball" on Saturday, starring the two die-hard Cubs fans Carmen DeFalco and Jonathan Hood. I'm surprised there wasn't also a guest appearance from one Danny Mac.

As a Cubs fan, I was already on pins and needles leading up to the game on Saturday. I didn't need to hear two Sox fans feigning interest in the Cubs.

I didn't hear the show, but I'd only have a problem with their coverage if was biased, as in showing pleasure that the Cubs had lost the first 2 games.

I think all Hoodie did (does) is take shots at the Cubs.

Define 'shot' though - if he was saying the Cubs had played like crap through two games, that would be an opinion that is also factual.

I wonder if the Mrs would be happy. you know the saying

A little off topic with Bears stuff, but maybe a thumbs down here is during the Virginia Tech vs Clemson game from Saturday, Mike Patrick was doing the announcing and was talking about how this was the Hokies 2nd tough road game and in the first road game agianst LSU, when they lost 52-7, that in that game the Hokies got murdered. I'm just wondering with what happened in April is that the right word you use when talking about the Hokies.

I would like to give a thumbs down to Al Michaels. After the Bears beat the Packers on Sunday night, to paraphrase, he said-

What started off as a beautiful night, ended in a Bears upset over the Green Bay Packers.

I hope he cried all the way to the airport!

it's funny i was over at my friends' house watching the game, and my their aunt was passing by the living room when michaels said that, and I said, "Oh, it's such a shame that the Bears ruined the Packers' beautiful night!" and she started yelling at me! Like "Get out of here, Saints fan!" And I was stunned, saying, "What? I was defending the Bears!" It was pretty funny. She had no idea what was going on.

He was a brilliant PG during his career, but has no prior baseball brodcasting experience and ended up butchering names throughout the Cubs/D-backs series, once even caling one of the teams the Cowboys.
