Not at all. Why would Terry want to leave? Does the show from his house 3 days a week. Dan runs the show and gives the thoughts. Terry just nods his head. And he makes 500k a year. Everybody thinks Terry should or wants to retire. Who the hell would walk away from Terry's situation? The fact of the matter is Terry did retire about 10 years ago.

Totally agree. He's making easy money. Why give that up?

The guy does 3-4 days of work from his basement, which I assume now is a very nice studio set up for mid 6 figures...he isnt leaving until they force him out.

Makes me miss Jason Goff. He had funny 'drops' and used to call Bernstein out. Goff was on Sportsnight Live last night and was good to hear him again. That's when B&B was funny and not just a soapbox for Dan's daily Deadspin rants.

I agree that broadcasting crew is brutal, but I don't get why they keep harping on the idiocy of comparing Stone Mountain in Georgia to Mt. Rushmore. The monument has Confederate luminaries carved into the side of a mountain and both were done by the same guy. If they're making fun of the fact that its the cracker Mt. Rushmore- OK, but I don't understand why it isn't an apt comparison.

I just loved Teflon Bernsie.. the best team doesn't always when the championship?!? Ah, Hawk - one of Dan's favorite targets.

It's very simple - Hawk has been around the game of baseball for 100 years. He's been personally involved with some of the most influential and important players, managers and owners in the history of the game. He's personally involved in upwards of 150 baseball games each season seeing almost every team in baseball and all of their players. He's probably had countless thousands of hours of conversations with the leading baseball minds of all time. He played the game at the highest level.

Translation: While Hawk may be a relic, he's forgotten more about the game than Bernstein could ever dream to know. That is, if Hawk says something about how the game of baseball is played and the players who play it, I'll take his word over, well, a radio sports show host who most likely never played any sport at any competitive level past the age of 9.
