This guy who talks too much, liike conor McDoink (Don't need to comment on everything said!)

Where did he come from?

When I logged into the Game today, they have this promo for the guy as if something interesting happened to him, so I clicked on (yay, you got me to click once) and he tells this story about going to play poker until 2 Am in Naperville, and has a Tennis Match in the same area the next day at 10 AM, so he got a hotel room instead of driving back to the city.

Now maybe there was more to this story, but between the unreal boringness and McDoink having to comment on every single step of the story, I had to click it off.

This reminded me on someone once trying to tell a story on the air about ordering a pizza and how the pizza was ordered, then showed up, the pizza was paid for and it was a good pizza!

So, where did this guy come from? Was a WGN on air person? At least I know where the guy who is on with Doyle came from? Some acting gig. Carman sounds like some boring ass people I know...

I'm just guessing you're not going to be a fan of Dahl's new show.

I don't like the fact that he calls himself Carm. Like we need another one of those in this town.

Carman was on WGN AM720 with Kap in the evenings.

I agree with that, it leads back to my question.

It's not that I totally dislike the guy, it's just boring. He and conor just keep talking and talking, with almost no content. "Then I woke up, put my feet down on the ground, one at a time, the floor was kind of warm from what I could feel after putting down my first foot."

If he is going to be with Dahl then the word "yes" will be used a ton I guess.

I don't know where he came from, but he's alright. That show is decent, and is competitive with its timeslot competitors.

He's better than the other Carm, so he's got that going for him, which is nice.

he's not going to be with Dahl, but Dahl talks about absolutely nothing....pizza delivery for instance.

One time at a fantasy football draft, we ordered several from Beggars and one was a giardiniera and bacon. Pizzas come and after people start eating, we realize, no bacon on the pizza. Call Beggars back, they apologize and say they will send a giardiniera and bacon over as possible. People continue eating all the pizza. Delivery man comes, gives pizza, hats were tipped, and he is off on his merry way. Back to the basement with the pizza and eating commences. Three minutes later, host's phone rings. It's Beggars. They would like the old pizza back. We ate the pizza. They would like the box back. OK? Delivery man shows up again, we give him the empty box, hats were tipped, and he is off on his merry way. Then I spend $63 of my $250 for Peyton Manning who has a small neck injury, which turns into a bigger neck injury, which turns into basically a broken fucking neck and doesn't play all year and then I finish last.

Trying to make a pizza delivery story more boring by talking about my personal fantasy football team.

One time driving from Chicago to Maine, wife and I stayed the night in upstate New York somewhere. We order a pizza delivered from a random place. My wife found several short curlies in it. I wondered if the hairs were there pre or post oven. I mean, no germs or anything could survive the pizza oven, right?

That is my pizza delivery story.

For some reason programmers feel the need to place a guy just like McDoink with McDoink all the time I guess. Makes for a bad show.

The Original Carm, works well with the scattery impulsive Jurko.

I believe they call that the Black Bear pizza in Maine. Unfortunately, the black bear does not refer to the state university mascot.

I listened to that as well. It wasn't much of a story, though I think McDoink was pointing that out. He just overdid it a bit.

1) it's an interesting idea to podcast 8-minute banter clips like that, I'd bet B&B still have those once in a while but I'll never know since their website is worse than ebola.

2) at least Carm was self-deprecating about the story, whereas Leary's always make him out to be a cool bro.

Carm revealed that he used to cover the early 90s Bulls. Still have no idea who he is. He's decent on the radio, and calls out McDoink enough when the latter gets douchey. I mean, it's either supposed 'vanilla' hosts or grating ones like Lawrence or Drinky, I'll take the vanilla yum.
