Why is it such a big deal that Robbie Gould got yelled at?!?

The press conferences used to be fun when they'd play silly drops and giggle. Now it's all serious business with far reaching social implications...

I have to admit. I didn't see the "don't question the integrity of reporters who WERE STANDING RIGHT THERE" show coming.

Dan hates the megalomaniac head coaches because that's an unnecessary tactic when dealing with professional athletes, but Trestman is a bum because he's not that personality type?

Yeah that was funny.

Regardless, that guy played defensive end in college. That's significantly more competitive football than Dan Bernstein played. That means that guy knows more. Funny though, the guy knew the DE end position and how to play the read option. Why would HE ask DAN?

That would be like Babe Winkelman asking my uncle Tony about bass fishing.

In no way was he suggesting the coach should / has to be a megalomaniac.

Exactly. Why does he care so much?

I'm not going to speculate like Bernstein does, but isn't it entirely possibly that Marshall was going off and Robbie jumped in and said something to him and/or try to jump and he said 'you just kick the ball' - meaning that Gould isn't out in pass coverage or running routes or reading defense or making throws.

All of which is true.

I'm glad to see Dan has finally turned on this weirdo head coach, but are we supposed to forget that B & B acted like it was a foregone conclusion that the Bears were SB contenders and that "the offense will be good. It's not a question of the offense"?

Sports radio is basically a one two punch of building up unrealistic expectations and then leading the charge when those unrealistic expectations come crumbling down.

We've instructed the players in no uncertain terms that they will do things my way or they will be provided luxury transportation out of Halas Hall.

'He's terrified of Brandon Marshall'

'Brandon Marshall is his boss'

And Dan knows this how exactly?

So we are on a solid 90 minutes of pure speculation by the B&B crew (and the callers they let through) of what they THINK the interaction between Marshall and Trestman is.

They literally have no idea if what they are stating as fact is true or not. It could be 180 degrees opposite of what they are proclaiming.

We can say without question that what they describe isn't accurate.

I haven't heard what they've been saying but I know a little bit about it and, from what I know, which is most of what I heard was said but not all, is factually not correct from what I know, which isn't much.

BernSTINE is so desperately trying to be the story or at least the guy with the "REAL STORY!"

-"Trestman has lost control!"
-"Marshall runs the team from his secret base inside a Volcano!"
-"I, BernSTINE, know exactly how pro athletes feel and act! I know exactly what goes on in that locker room!"

It's pathetic, it's about as bad as when he goes on and on about how Peanut Tillman doesn't like football...he says it like he's the only person that knows!

As I mentioned before, Mannelly is interacting more and such during transition but he is still a bit reserved when BernSTINE starts to pontificate....discussions like these will probably make him a tad more assertive.

Mannelly is getting bolder and I also noticed Meat riding that wave as well. Today he was on Bernsie for being a loud mouth conflict guy.

Every Monday, Dan asks ZZ why Trestman is being vague with the injuries. Every time, ZZ tells him that Trestman doesn't have to talk about injuries until Wednesday, when the official lists are released. Why does Dan not understand this?

Let's recognize the fact that Dan & Terry did press Bostic for information in a way that is akin to their earlier wish/demand list for people to do.

That said, I don't know what one hopes to accomplish by doing so; Bostic's no dope ... certainly not a big enough one to let locker room 'secrets' out to the media anyway.

Interestingly enough, as the saying goes 'as the coach, so goes the team' insofar as attitudes on and off the field ... Bostic's answers were right out of the Trestman playbook ... obfuscate and deny obvious truths ... short of saying he didn't know there was a game yesterday, Bostic couldn't have carried the absurdity any further than he did.
