I see we're back to the days of Sieve Mason.

The Flyers look dreadful. I know quality of competition has not been sky-high in the early going but man, the Hawks always have possession and are always shooting. This might be a statistical-correction game where all those nights of getting stonewalled are balanced out by scoring like seven or eight goals.

Flyers looked lively in the second but Raanta came up big. Wouldn't be surprised to see Giroux pot one in the third to make things a little interesting but I doubt they score three or even two.

Pains me to say it, but we all have to give Carcillo credit. He's trying so damn hard to keep his caveman instincts in check. I thought for all the world he'd have to fight with Rinaldo coming into tonight but not only did he not, he drew a roughing call out of Rinaldo's attempt. Maybe he's taking lessons from Ben Smith on how to draw penalties well. It'll all fall apart for him when he low-bridges some dude into oblivion and gets suspended 15 games for it, but in the meantime, he's doing what he knows he has to do.
