A huge Pentagon parking lot remains closed and cordoned off, and a bus full of Marines is temporarily quarantined as medical personnel attempt to determine why a woman who boarded the bus suddenly became ill. The woman, a private contractor for the Pentagon, told first responders she was recently in West Africa.

According to Pentagon sources the woman boarded the shuttle bus shortly before 10 a.m. to head for a change of command ceremony in Washington for the Marine Corps Commandant. The woman suddenly fell ill, got off the bus then passed out and vomited in the Pentagon parking lot. She was taken by ambulance to a medical facility for treatment including a blood test.

The shuttle bus had left the parking lot but when it reached the Marine Corps Barracks in Washington, everyone aboard was immediately quarantined while HAZMAT crews prepared to decontaminate the bus. The group has been transferred to another bus, but remains under quarantine.

The Pentagon parking lot remains off limits except for HAZMAT teams and other emergency personnel.

How is that two nurses who happen to work on a guy with ebola both just happen to take trips at the same time, one to Ohio and one on a cruise line.

Ebola won't be taken seriously until a celebrity or high-ranking political figure gets it. Or if someone creates a parody song with it.

Chatted with someone from the Liberian side of my family yesterday and she told me things are much worse than what's being reported. She says it's destroying Monrovia and that there are dead bodies and sick people everywhere. She says over 10, 000 people are dead and many believe it will be well over 100,000 by the time it's over.

There's a video about what's going on in Monrovia. It's terrible, no wonder everyone is trying to get out of West Africa, the treatment centers are either full or understaffed. And who the hell is this reporter? WHERE SOME GLOVES YOU LUNATIC!

ah...i think knowing anything about liberia would tell you all you need to know about the country, even without ebola. it's the green inferno.

Liberia noun :Along with Siberia, a geographic area that Laurence Holmes can pronounce correctly.

Until now I didn't realize there was a country called Monrovia.

Great NPR story on Friday. Went into some details about the impacts on peoples' lives in Africa. Evidently, hugging is an important custom in a few of the countries impacted, so they have had to literally change the way they interact with one another now. It was really sad.

It's not a country. It's a city in Liberia.

I'm thinking in the Ebola Post-Apocalyptic World, I'd last a couple months in the group as the wise-cracking smart ass, every group of survivors needs one to keep things light, until shit gets real and I die a stupid but extremely painful death.

Brandon Marshall," Does this ball have Ebola on it? God only knows where Jay's wife has been, while we are working blood, sweat and tears!
The fact that Ebola has reached the US is unacceptable!, unacceptable!... Do I have to say it one more time.Unacceptable!"

Sick, plane, Liberia. Yeah, that should be enough to get tested.

After hearing a little more, it seems like they probably just got a bit airsick. Still no reason not to take a bit of blood and test it though. Why not just to be 100% sure.
