Any predictions how this will go? Saw a preview trailer, but it didn't have Eli or the Dr. in it.

No idea which direction it goes, but I love this show. I'm glad they are ending it now, rather than letting it get horrible, like most shows.

I'm thinking maybe a time jump? Will we see what Capone becomes? How about the death of Rothstein and the St. Valentine's Day Massacre?

Not sure where it will end, but the story I'm most looking forward to is the coup d'etat that Myer and Lucky pull off on Maranzano and Masseria in 1931 and the establishment of the 5 families and the Mafia nationwide governing board.

Also the stuff in Chicago will be cool.

Anyone catch the premier last night? I really wasn't impressed with it, but did enjoy the ending. The ending looks like it sets up the rest of the series/season.

Premiere did that flashback thing, see the start of Knucky and how he was as a kid. Just hope it stops.

Seems to be lots of capone coming up in the next episodes, should be excellent.

Someone want to give me a Mark Wahlberg estimated worth? The guy does Movies that get replayed all day, then HBO series that make huge ratings. Marky mark.

Really not a fan of the jump forward in time. The show had been building the Masseria-Luciano tensions for a while as well as Rothstein's downfall, and now the first is taken care of in one episode and the second took place off-screen. People have been complaining for a while that Nucky isn't a compelling enough character to center the show around, and while I was resistant to that critique in the earlier seasons, I fear it's really going to be a problem this season.

Agreed, it was a good episode and liked how Nucky took the guy out at the end and sent the message with the
postcard.

Tonight's episode has been the best so far this season. I'm still not a fan of these stupid flashbacks. The Capone stuff was great.

It was decent. I didn't mind the flashbacks at first but not really sure why they are going that route. I really didn't
see the situation with Sally going down like that. Next week looks like things really start kicking off.

Pretty good episode last night. I was really impressed with the guy they found to play young
Nucky. I didn't think they would be find anyone that would look exactly like a young Steve
Bucemi.

Yeah, that was perfect casting. The guy must be using some kind of fake teeth though.

The scenes with Eli and Nelson were great. Nelson's wife is such a huge bitch.

Guessing they added some teeth, but he had some good mannerisms down when smoking that cigar.

Oh yeah he definitely had some fake teeth which seemed too big for his mouth but he was
just so believable as a young Nucky. Just great. The Eli and Nelson thing is going to be
interesting next week. I can't believe Eli banged her.

No it came back as a flashback when he saw that picture in the kitchen. Eli has been hitting
the bottle enough since going to Chicago that I think he has technically lost his shit mentally.

yea,saw the flashback, was wondering if they were showing us a scene we had seen before.

I liked when the daughter said that the German wasn't her real mom, her real mom was a ballerina. Wasn't her real mom that dark haired slut who was banging Nucky and everyone else? Was she also a ballerina?

Only 3 episodes left. I wonder if the flashbacks are leading up to a young Nucky presenting a 13 year old Gillian to the Commodore.

Only 8 episodes in the final season. Everything wraps up on the 26th. :x

Great episode last night. We lost two really good characters but it was bound to happen. With only
two episodes left everything is all set to completely unfold and Nucky is really up against it.

If they plan to follow history I wouldn't make too much of this Nucky vs Luciano thing brewing. My guess is all that will come of it is we'll see Luciano get his famous scar. Could be wrong, but I think I that actually happened in New Jersey (but also think it happened much earlier in his life).

In real life Nucky is such a minor character compared to the other people in this tv show. Pretty sure he gets nabbed for tax evasion, goes to jail, doesn't get syphilis and fades into obscurity.

I was half asleep when I watched this - which other character did we lose besides 'Ole Nellie?

Chalky went out in very uninspired fashion.

Nelson was a great source of humor on the show. Loved him finally snapping and jumping on Capone. And in the end he semi-redeemed himself.

This season has been quite uninspiring to say the least. Seems like they are just rushing to finish it, almost like they have a board with all the stories they have to tie up and they are checking them off one by one without any concern for how it looks on the show.

Not a fan of the way they are trying to shove Nucky and his people into a bunch of historical events they were never a part of in real life.

Pretty terrible finish to what was a very good series for the most part.

Agree on Nucky being placed into History, but lends itself to a nice spinoff for all this. Al's ascent to power, charlie, Bugsy, etc. Oh wait, thats been done. :D Ok, make up some shit

From what I've read on the net, it appears they were lucky to even get 8 episodes. The show costs as much as Game of Thrones to produce and gets half the ratings. So, the plots are rushed and situations are crowbarred in to get a half-assed resolution to the series. They did a similar thing with Treme.
