Oh wait, they actually did find something wrong. Still no penalty I'm sure.

I just go by the theory they are all cheating, it is just at what level.

Hmmmm?

Would that be like the nomadic but social group that attend bars on nights of "chicken N porn'

A school can have it's own standards and offer it's own classes or curriculum to meet NCAA standards.

In high school we had this alternative school. It was in the same building, but they went to another wing of the building where they painted, danced, sang and played guitar all day for grades.

If a kid wants to go to school to play some sport, great. It's not the best call, but it's a 17 year old kid and if the NCAA and the "Adults" know so much more than the kids, they would make the scholarship for a lifetime for a student to attain a degree once they realize the value of something they probably didnt realize when they were 17 years old and everyone in the world gave them everything they wanted. I think many Big 10 schools just adopted this policy this year.

Nothing compared to taking literary critique classes taught by a horny nun. Everything was sexual or phallic. You no longer need to wonder the genesis of my world view.

I don't know why it sticks with my but I can still hear the voice of a flaming guy reciting the words

The women come, the women go
speaking of Michelangelo

I'd only have a problem with it if there were players that wanted to concentrate more on school and couldn't.

If a guy wants to go to college and mess around for four years on someone else's dime that is their right. A lot of rich kids do the same with their parents backing.

My guess is at North Carolina, they were encouraging these players to do this and not simply making it an option.

I agree with you, but that's what Robert Smith(pre-med) always live in studio makes me laugh.

I always found him a little bit depressing.

The Academic Support people wanted to “ring the alarm bell” for how dire this Crowder retirement could be, so Bridger stood in front of a room full of football coaches, including head man Butch Davis, and delivered the PowerPoint.

It included a screen that read:

We put them in classes that met degree requirements in which:

• They didn’t go to class

• They didn’t take notes, have to stay awake

• They didn’t have to meet with professors

• They didn’t have to pay attention or necessarily engage with the material

It concluded:

• THESE NO LONGER EXIST!

The class/major being a walkover isn't that surprising to me. They happen at every university that has high demand for athletics (after all, the same stories are told about the sociology major at Duke).
The part that riled me up as a faculty member was the part about going back and changing grades without the instructor's consent/knowledge. I'm sure that had to been with TAs or fixed term faculty b/c if that was a tenured faculty member, they would go after whomever did that.
