With another 2-3 seasons, Rodgers

Elway & Manning dominate the top of my "most overloved" list though.

How does Marino make that list?

Because he was the best passer I've ever seen. And he played with avg talent on the field & poor off. coordinators.

[quote="Regular Reader"Because he was the best passer I've ever seen. And he played with avg talent on the field & poor off. coordinators.[/quote]Peyton basically is the offensive coordinator.

I think one of Peyton's greatest strengths is that they can put virtually anyone out there and they look supremely talented.

The list of WR's and TE's that looked great with him at quarterback is huge.

Duper and Clayton were damn good in their time.

Marino was Manning before the NFL made it easy for QBs and offenses. Unlike Manning he did it with less.

I'm not sure how any objective person can look at the receivers in Denver and say Manning made them better. Everyone except Thomas was already considered great/good.

I am thinking that Tebow made them this way, before Manning got there. I am sure Brick will agree.

Rick is correct. What Manning has done is nothing short of remarkable. It's never been done to the level he has done it with a new team.

Manning is extremely underrated and people tend to overemphasize his playoff record (even though he has 1 ring and 2 SB appearances) . Those QB's who have multiple SB wins have experienced a lot of luck themselves too. Brady has played for the most stable franchise in the NFL over his career.

Elway is the most overrated QB in NFL history. He was Jay Cutler until he won 2 SB's at the end on the back of Terrell Davis.

Leash underrates Elway as much as Nas underrates Manning.

Top 5 all time

1. Aaron Rodgers
2. Peyton Manning
3. Joe Montana
4. Tom Brady
5. Brett Favre

Demaryius Thomas even looked good with Tebow. We all knew he just needed an average QB to look great. We s Welker was already a stud. Sanders was pretty good too. Julius Thomas is the only one who wasn't.

Emmanuel Sanders is already almost at his career highs and that is only 7 games in. Demariyus Thomas more than double his career highs as soon as Peyton got there. Julius Thomas virtually didn't exist in the NFL prior to Manning. Erik Decker had two career years with Manning.

Most of the players you mentioned had their numbers double as soon as Peyton showed up.

Welker isn't really a good example. He's kind of just been the same as he was with another great qb.

Peyton throws the ball a lot. Is that surprising? I believe last I looked Demaryius had a higher yards per catch average with Tebow and hadn't played more than 10 games in his career with shitty to mediocre QBs.

Who were you thinking as a comparison? Remember - Jamarcus Russell didn't play nearly as long as Elway.

Are you honestly arguing that Peyton doesn't make WR's significantly better?

He's the luckiest guy in NFL history that he happened to play with so many players who just happened to have career years with him throwing the ball.

Peyton Manning is the bizarro Jay Cutler.

Glad there's someone else here who has Marino ahead of Elway. Elway consistently being regarded as an obvious top 5 quarterback is rubbish and I hope gets seriously reevaluated one day.

Even if he got it, he would orchestrate an amazing antibody comeback that would cure the disease.....and then he'd get beat by the Niners.

Honestly Peyton Manning isn't in my top 5. Regardless of stats he's nowhere near the QB Rodgers is. We saw what Brady could do when you put elite WR's around him. Just imagine what Rodgers would do in Denver
