Blues strategy this game has been to collapse and build a wall in front of Elliot. Hawks need to just get traffic and throw some garbage wristers on net, especially on the PP.

Sucks. The Blues aren't better, they just try every night unlike the Hawks.

While I would agree that the Hawks coasted during a shitload of games last season, I don't think the effort was lacking tonight as much as the Blues just out-gooned the Hawks. Doesn't help when Raanta lets in at least one softie, either.

Raanta had a bad night, and the Hawks coasted from the Sharp goal to the end of the second period only to do too little too late in the third. Basically the same script from the Nashville game. I was hoping they could take advantage of a team that's violently ill, you know? At least the next game is against the East.
