Can we just start shooting people who don't do their jobs?

Look, I can rag on Cutler as much as anyone on the Bears, but you're telling me that Clausen is a better QB? That's a stretch.

Now if you bench him to "send a message", that would be different. We'd still lose to GB regardless.

Cutler is the wrong QB for this plan.

He's not a "score a TD on every single possession"-type QB.

what if clausen was a good leader. cuter is such a non existent one that it hurts the game, and it carries over from game to game (yes, real momentum). clausen would only have to be a normal leader to offset what he cant physically do compared to cutler, which isnt a big stretch. then you factor in how poorly jay sees the field on an average level and i think clausen very well could be better given everything considered.

um.. but thats what he thinks he is. they dont try to score on every play, and you can tell cutler hates it.

Clausen is horrible, but so was McCown.

They need to feature Cutler for the offseason trade to the Jets.

A caller on the post game brought up a great point. How did Trestman get the job? Did Arians and McCoy say that they didn't want Cutler but Trestman said he could work with him?

Nothing would surprise, but Cutler only had one year left at the time.

Leslie Frazier was there for the taking this offseason. Surely he would have been an upgrade over Mel Tucker. Then again, maybe Trestman didn't want a possible successor looking over his shoulder?

It is fairly obvious that Trestman has lost the locker room. Worse yet, this team is losing the city.

I wouldn't be shocked to see Tucker get it Monday or Tuesday.

I don't think Trestman ever had the locker room because he looks and sounds different than most NFL coaches. His shitty preparation and play calling the last 3 weeks has probably hurt him even more.

Claussen might just be better than Cutler. Who knows? Jay is just a guy. If you put Clausson in a #6 jersey you might not notice a difference. Bears are paying Cutler $22.5 million fucking dollars this year. I am pretty sure they could get a guy for $500K to play at Jays meciocre level. The Bears are fucked thanks to the stupid contfact they gave him when they should have franchised him for this year and then let him go.

Cutler is the best QB on the team and that means I don't want any of the Bears QB's to play.

Cutler has 18 touchdowns. He should get some blame for the play on offense but let's stop acting like he's been God awful. If anything he appears a little gun shy.

New England scored 51.
This was not on cutler but he should still be better.

He definitely should. The offense has to be more productive regardless of how shitty Trestman is. He has the ability to change the plays and should use it more often. Considering how awful the defense can be he has to protect the ball better and also not be gun shy. The offense needs to score points and they really need to score a lot of them. They shouldn't average less than 30 a game over the next 8 weeks.

This is what I've never understood about Cutler situation.

They looked pretty good offensively last year. I thought they would be awesome scoring wise this year. But somehow they have regressed. And he still looks like the same dumb ass as when he arrived.

But the offense looked good when McCown was in there. Much sharper. Was it dumbed down for him?

And if it was, why isn't it dumbed down for the franchise guy? He has proven he will never put up a string of consistent games. But for some reason, they decided to give all the money to Cutler when in hindsight this offense looks like all it needs is a game manager. Not a guy with a great arm who has all the tools but can never put it together. Let's be honest.....Cutler's career Bears highlight is the 49ers second half.

I wonder who the next QB will be.

Why cant the Bears WR's ever get any seperation from the cover man? They are NEVER open.

I believe the NFL has figured Trestman out and he is too stubborn to adjust. Forte is being wasted and Marshall looks like he's losing a step or 2.

Trestman is such a pussy, he would not even say he was disappointed in Houston for the asinine celebration. Twice he was asked specifically about it, and both times he said he was "disappointed for Lamarr". Here is someone who has been a complete, 100% bust, and the head coach who just got a historic beat down doesn't have the nerve to say he's disappointed in something that player did.

It seems clear Trestman got the job only because he was desperate and agreed to work with Cutler, while the other candidates probably said no thanks to being stuck with the coach killer.

Yeah but they don't appear to even get open against zone. It's hard to tell if they're never open or if Cutler can't make reads and his staring down of receivers makes them look less open than they are. Probably somewhere in the middle.

Based on the replays we see from time to time it appears that they are never open. Marshall has been a failure since Week 2. He needs to shut up and get open.
