And Maddon would be a bit douchey to accept a job currently occupied by another person. Leyland said as much in an interview over the weekend, saying the Tigers would have no interest in him as they already have a manager...no matter how good he thinks Maddon is. Though he seemed to be a little fuzzy on the circumstances when he interviewed with the Sox while Bevington was still manager.
