Now you are doing it too. Just when I thought you literally could not perform any worse in this thread, you are able to sink even lower. Excellent work!

Even THE INQUISTOR has to be like "Damn, Kirkwood needs to take a break".

Not the same, RPB. We are talking about the Sox and Ozzie won a ring with the Sox. Theo, so far, hasn't gotten the Cubs any higher than 4th place.

What?

The where doesnt matter. dolphin established this premise with his post (Win a world series= you are good at your job)

Epstein has won two

Ozzie got another with the Marlins as 3B coach. But that WS doesn't count because Jack McKeon was over 60 years old.

So then you think Ozzie was a good manager for the Marlins?

Im open to you explaining your position. Seemed open and shut.

Ozzie was alleged to be bad at his job. You replied "He won a world series"

What else could one take away from that other than winning a world series= good at your job

That is not true. He asked "what has Ozzie ever done" except for that one year. I responded, to paraphrase, that it would be ridiculous not to include 2005 when considering his work.

Now, if I had asked what Theo has done in his career, you might have an argument. I have said that there is ample evidence to limit the praise directed at him for his first world series. I have also said that his recent work in FA has been suspect. I have never said, throw out those two years.

Ozzie is baseball Ditka. Multiple years of underachievement forgiven by 1 year. More concerned with self promotion and his bank account than winning championships.

You need to regroup in the offseason and have a better 2015.

Its funny how Kirkwood is on this side when Aaron Rodgers has only 1 Super Bowl title, and as many home playoff wins as Jay Cutler. Brett Favre, also only 1 Super Bowl title. Multiple years of playoff underachievement from both.

Rodgers has been a starter for six seasons coming into this season. They made the playoffs five times and won a super bowl in those six seasons. Probably a bad guy to use as a comp here.

I'm ok with the shot at Favre. He did underachieve in his last 5-7 years here.

Rodgers only winning 1 Super Bowl will be a failure. A generational talent should have multiple. Rodgers himself has said the greats have many.

I don't care where he wins his playoff games.

Yup. We may all want to be careful to not let Theo around our girlfriends or wives.
