He said this is different than Giradi watch and I fell down immediately.

Why did Bernstein stop short of saying Emery is the problem, when he stated that the Bears poor drafting is what is haunting them now? Yes, some of it goes back to Angelo, but that last Bears team under Lovie was 10-6, a respectable record. And, as much as we grumble about Angelo, he did put a team together that made it to the Superbowl. He did find some superstars like Urlacher, Briggs, Gould, Tillman, Hester, Knox, Forte, and made the trade for Cutler, even though the jury's still out on that one. A shame that Knox got hurt, because he could really be used now when the Bears have no deep threat other than Alshon. But with Emery, hardly anything has gone right, arguably only one first round draft pick in Fuller and a second rounder in Alshon. Some of his free agency choices have not only been suspect in Allen and Houston, but also very costly. Worst of all, he gave elite quarterback money to a guy that's only been selected to the pro-bowl once in nine years, and that was his first or second year in the league.

Just say Emery is the problem Dan. Everyone agrees with that.

Urlacher wasn't Angelo's. It was Mark Hatley's. But I get your point.

Dear Lord, can't believe I've defended Angelo, but this Emery team is such a trainwreck that even Angelo was better in hindsight.

Amidst all silliness, I know this: #Cubs and Maddon have sincere, mutual interest. All are being deliberate and professional.
